Haven't we heard this before?

From the Daily News:

Billions of taxpayer dollars will go toward Mayor de Blasio’s quest to boost the number of affordable apartments in New York.

In his budget message Thursday, de Blasio vowed to spend $7.5 billion over the next decade to build or preserve 200,000 cheaper units.

The mayor embraces allowing developers who need zoning changes to build taller and bigger luxury towers — as long as they keep 25% to 30% of the units affordable. This increased density will put a strain on water, sewer and roads, so he plans to commit another $2 billion to upgrading infrastructure to accommodate the increased demand.

As if the only thing 1,000,000 new persons living in New York City is an apartment.

What policies are going to create private sector jobs so they are net taxpayers?

What about everything from schools to sewers to hospitals to transit to support 1,000,000 new persons living in New York City?

I think if you carefully questioned most NYers about the affordable issue, you'd find out that they don't want an increase in the number of apartments, what we really wish for is for the apartments that exist to become affordable (somehow). We are already at a density that strains all public services.

These lotteries for the few newly-built "affordable" apartments give you about the same chance of winning as the NYS Lottery. Play that instead and get rich! Haha

It's too bad that as a city resident, I'm not smart enough to know what a great mayor de Blasio is.

And poster 2: the absurd taxes the rich pay, of course.

No money for new Police Officers, but we have money for more hotel/homeless shelters.

Send him back to Cuba where he belongs. He can help solve the inequality suffered by its millions of citizens.

He is single-handedly ruining this city with his rezoning. There hasn't been any type of public input and it seems most of his ideas are being implemented anyway. He thinks he knows best, because he's beyond arrogant, but he's destroying NYC. Worst. Mayor. Ever.
