Public access to Pavilion on April 22

From the Times Ledger:

The New York State Pavilion will be open to the public for the first time in a generation to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1964 World’s Fair April 22 — for one day only.

The iconic venue had been closed off to the public since 1987 but, thanks to the efforts of two self-described history nerds, visitors will once again gain entry between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

On April 22, the curious will be able to get an up-close look. RSVPs are not required and visitors will have to wear hard hats, which will be provided.

I better cancel my trip to Paris - do not wish to miss this opportunity. Will I get a chance to also get to see Curtis, another ruin.

Why?

Of course, they schedule it for a weekday afternoon.

what kind of nut would go somewhere that requires a hardhat?

just hurry up with the renovations so we can enjoy the place without worrying about something falling on us.

Melinda Katz will be wearing a hard hat too - between her legs. To catch the leftover dribbling gonad goo.

No need to say anything else J - that sums it up.

Melinda Katz wants to see the structure saved like everyone else.
She's the only politician in 30+ years willing to help whos displayed actual ACTION. Most her politics have sucked in the past but this time Kadoos to Melinda. She opened up the red tape and let the volunteers (many who are experts who know what they are doing) finally work on that building. I bet it will look great for the reception!

When was the last time MK stuck to her words? I do hope she does not do an about face on her commitment. I'd keep a very close eye on this whole project.

Big fuckin' deal! The iconic structure is still rotting.

WTF is Melinda Katz doing besides giving lip service and taking photo ops RE the issue...getting another Sliwa injection?

She's all talk and no action. If you like alley Katz so much donate your sperm for her cause.
