Shirley says entire Senate is corrupt

From the Daily News:

Huntley said she agreed to become an informant — spying on pols using James Bond-like gadgets like a video camera hidden in a water bottle — to protect her family from being prosecuted along with her. And to those who condemn her betrayal, she offers a middle finger.

“I could care less what the politicians think about me,” Huntley, 74, told the Daily News in an exclusive interview. “They know what I say is true because they live it every day. Albany is a mess. It’s all about money and power. I don’t think most of them give a tinker’s damn about their constituents.”

Huntley is indeed unabashed.

“If John (Sampson) and Malcolm (Smith) would talk, oh my God,” she said provocatively. “They flip him (Sampson) and you’ll need a special election to elect a whole new damn Senate.”

Shirley would have continued going along with all of her corrupt fellow lawmakers' crooked practices, had she not been caught herself with her bloomers down.

Now she wants a free pass by rolling over on the crooks or, at least, to cut her jail time.
I say, lock her up and throw the key away!

Israelis don't negotiate with terrorists.
Let's follow suit with our legislative criminals.

It seems to me that justice would be far better served if some Albany (NYC & DC) crooks (like Hevesi and Mc Laughlin) were given some really lengthy prison sentences.

That kind of deterrent would make a would be crook think twice about screwing us.

Sure Shirley, justify your corrupt ways by saying that everyone else is corrupt. Even if that is true, it does not entitle you to do the same.

Face it bitch, you are just one low piece of shit who did nothing for your community of Jamaica and should have never been a public servant.

So shove that middle finger of yours up your nasty saggy old ass and take a spin.

Yeah...hop on and rotate, Shirley!

Doesn't Huntley resemble Fred Sanford's nemesis aunt from the old TV series, Sanford & Son?

"Hey Lamont, get the broom. The witch has arrived".

Shirley better watch out before someone drops a house on her..evil witch.
To the other scum of Albany...lie down with dogs-wake up with fleas.

“I could care less what the politicians think about me,”

Good riddance to this ignoramus. The correct term is, 'I couldn't care less'.

Look this is a significant revalation - if she can make real progress on

1. exposing for all to see what the politicians are really about.

2. starting the process to have the public act more maturely towards their elected officials

then this reformed hack deserves a big 'thank you' from us not criticism.

Keep your fingers crossed - lets see how this plays out.

Is that Mike 'Mystery Man' Gianaris with her?

Few people actually get to see him except for his coverage in the local press.

Dear Mr.Moretti: To avoid any possible reader ambiguity in your commentary, would you kindly be more explicit? Thanks.

BTW, The "hoodie" on the right looks like Jeff Klein. Isn't he Senator Dudley Do-Right?

As opposed to Gianaris Senator Do Nothing?

We should give this woman a big award - saying stupid comments will simply discourage someone else from coming forward.

By her stating the obvious is a big step in the public addressing the septic political culture of NYS. Now one of their kind has finally stepped forward to state what most of us lacked the backbone to say.

Believe me, folks, the few grand they throw at you for stamps and coffee in your little civic is chump change when you take your blinders off a see how they f*ck over your community.

Birds of a Feather Flock Together. They are all criminals and will continue to line their pockets with our money until voters wise up and vote them all out. Sadly, that will never happen. You get the government you deserve.

To paraphrase Shirley: I would never be a member of any legislative body that would accept me as a member.

Its about time we move forward from the 19th century.

All takes is for more and more people to say they are fed up and walk away from the system. If the rest of the world can demand better government why not us?

So, a sleazy criminal (Huntley) rats out other sleazy criminals. What a cesspool.
What happenned to the "vote out all the incumbents" movement?

I might get out a tiny violin in sympathy for you if there was anything in your political career that showed you wanted to reduce corruption in state government, but there isn't. You not only went along with the tide but swam as hard as you could with the current.

Have you considered that everyone opened up to you about their corrupt schemes because they believed that you were and would be as corrupt as them?

This isn't remorse merely angry disappointment you were caught first.

The only thing she will miss while in prison is her cigarettes and brandy. It doesn't get much better than this.

Surely Shirley, you can'e be Sirius?
