Metropolitan Avenue Ghost Bikes

Came across this "Ghost Bike" on Metropolitan Avenue recently. Ghost Bikes are memorials sponsored by friends and family members of cyclists killed on the road.

This one looks like it could use some maintenance.

Interestingly, another Ghost Bike down the street, without a name, is in better condition than the one with the sign.

I wonder if the bikes will be featured in "Lockbox 2013", whatever that is.

It is illegal to chain any object to a city structure, including light poles, and the such.

"Permission"? Prove it.

"Ghosts"?

"G-h-o-s-t-s"?

Seems like a violation of the First Amendment?

These bikes look like abandoned trash and should be treated as such.

one time a street corner was being repaved and they removed the signpost along with a ghost bike.

they left the bike around the corner so I took it because I was sure they were going to trash it.suddenly,a mob of wussies start yelling at me"thats a dead mans bike",you're cruel",I told them I am ressurrecting it like jesus.

I also told them that these memorials have done nothing to stop reckless driving habits of people of these times of texting and vin diesel wannabes as these recent pics have shown
