Silverstein to run against Halloran

From the Daily News:

Matthew Silverstein, a two-year Democratic State Committeeman for the 26th AD, is holding a kickoff party tonight as he considers running for City Council in the 19th District. That seat is currently held by Republican Dan Halloran, who's running for Congress in the new NY-6.

"While walking about the district, talking to constituents, I have heard the many concerns about our great city. They range from the future of our school system, tax equity for our Co-Op and Condo owners, protecting senior citizens, finding jobs for New Yorkers, or helping our returning Veterans re-integrate into society, [and] people seem to feel that New York City is on the wrong track," he writes in an email. "The people of the 19th Council District deserve better, and together we can make a difference."

Nice kid but he lives with his parents. He also has never had a business. I don't think he has kids either. Not saying he will do a bad job but I am not sure he has enough experiance in life yet to rep the communities. But at least he is not tied to lobbyists.

His position pays NO TAXPAYER SALARY AND PENSION.

Besides living in his parents home and paying no property tax, how does he earn his income ?Did he graduate from Harvard,(with censored grade records ) or Queens college( were the law school sang the "INTERNATIONALE" at the first graduation in the 80's ?

If he wants to prove to the neighberhood he is worthy to serve us (and he may or may not be)he should run against evan stavisky for district leader. He is the state committeman and he should not be silent while the bay terrace and whitestone are denied a district leader.

Mat is as full of crap as any Stavisky I've ever seen? He will do whatever markel tells him to do. He and Evan are one in the same!
