Community facility crap

A year ago, we brought you the story of a Flushing developer exploiting the community facilities loophole to build bigger at the corner of Gates and St. Nicholas Avenues in Ridgewood.
Well, they look about done here.
The luxury condos are now for sale! (Still no new C of O, though.)
And who wouldn't want a balcony overlooking this?

The community facility does not give this building any extra floor area since it is in R-6B zone. However, there are at least 2 major questionable issues here: 1. How the hell they can build a five story building on top of an existing one story building with less than 50% of the envelop being removed? 2. the total construction is $436,800, for an 24,300+ sq ft extension? Hmmm...I want to hire this contracotr to do the extension for my house.

I just spotted a very surrealistic-looking piece of Queens Crap on the west side of Bell Blvd. just north of 35th Ave. If I get a chance, I'll try to take a picture of this monstrosity for all to see and not admire.....

I think the new building is a good addition to the neighborhood and up close it appears to be (surprisingly) well built.

Im just tired of all the condominiums being built when they're not selling... i mean dont they get it already, they aren't selling... so how is this completely out of place for the area condominium that is most likely not going to pay off good for the neighborhood?
