Bad neighbor blog

I've had to endure the crappiest neighbors for more years than I care to remember. Despite calls to the city for help for either their noise, trash, illegal burning..., we've gotten precious little effective response.

Because of this, I have decided to start a blog chronicling and documenting their exploits. It is 93-45.blogspot.com. I have named it after their house number, but deliberately left off the street number. I hope that this might be of interest to you and your readers and perhaps lead me to some solutions for their BS.

yours,

Rich Parkwood

(my "name" stand for RICHmond Hill, Ozone PARK and WOODhaven communities of which I live on the cusp of.)

Just looking at that stack of plastic chairs in the photo is giving me a headache imagining the all night "cookouts" they put this guy through.

Hey, they must be related to my next door neighbor, a family from some 3rd world village in western Africa.

They have cook outs in the summer and have a high stack of those $5.00 plastic chairs up against the side of the house. They use a very powerful floodlight because you do need some light at 3:00am so you can see what you are eating, and that light shines at a house across the street.

Have you tried calling and reporting to your Community Board? Have you called the Board of Health or the FD & said it was a dangerous & hazardous condition? Have you spoken to these folks and asked that they clean up the place? Good luck!!

someone should let him know there's a site just for him.. maybe then he'll see how nasty his property is.

Call the IRS.

Taking in that many cans and bottles for the intent of making income... I'm sure they dont pay taxes on that. They're paractically running a business from their home.

While NYPD, INS, and CBs wont do jack shit, the IRS does not play games.

Yes, I have tried all of the things that you suggested Anonymous 3 - and gotten nowhere by doing so. That's why I started the blog.

These folks don't give a shit about anyone but themselves (and sometimes I'm not sure about that either)

And, like Anonymous 2's neighbors, these idiots use their abundant backyard illumination to party loudly 'til the wee hours, play midnight basketball, baseball or soccer...

Similiar situation here but we also have 2 whore houses and no matter who you complain to NOTHING is ever done about:( It's as if American Tax Paying Citizens don't matter:( As for the parties well the NYPD has up to 8 hours to respond and as soon as they leave it's business as usual for these FUCKS!!!!

There is nothing that can be done. As NYC moves yearly towards 4th world status, we are not far from seeing daily goat slaughtering in what where once beautiful middle class neighborhoods. My advice is to sell out and move to a gated community down south.

Is that a garage they are living in call buildings dept

Anonymous said...

The buildings department only go after law abiding citizens who follow the rules. They'll nit-pick property for a white person in a nice neighborhood. They don't bother the foreigners. They are immune to all our laws. They annnoy their neighbors on purpose so that they will move out and they can get their relatives in near them. It's called blockbusting. They feel that if they pay their rent or their mortgage, they can do whatever they want. There is no quality of life in Queens or Brooklyn anymore. The police won't do anything about it. They can't go after the illegals.

I'm sick of pathetic people saying to give up all hope. To the nay sayers, yes please move to the south as you suggested.

To the guy with blog, please fight the good fight! Take back your neighborhood and quality of life. It's going to be work, patience and you won't win them all, but you should'nt cut and run from this invasion.

I can completely understand why people want to cut and run - you only have one life, and you want to live it in peace. Not constantly waging a battle with neighboors, hobos and bottle collectors. After living in Queens my whole life I too am giving up, as soon as my kids are settled I am moving. It takes too much energy to battle these slobs. For them its a way of life-ingrained into their DNA - they know no different- its not my job to teach them.

maspeth mom is correct- leave if you can! that area has been going downhill for a long time. u cant reason with an unreasonable neighbor

I ALWAYS, ALWAYS remove all labels from my bottles and break all my glass. Don't let these ANIMALS make money off of you. I'd rather whipe my ass with nickles than let the 5c fall into their hands. Starve 'em out.

Mr Dick Parkwood must live in such a great area that bottle collectors live right next door.
Why don't you move if you don't like them ?
These people just trying to survive.
Hopefuly one day Mr. Dick Parkwood will be collecting bottles when he gets laid off.

"Why don't you move if you don't like them ?"

Hack.

Rich Parkwood said...

Ah, the old bullshit line: "Move if you don't like it".

You miss the point: it's not the bottle collecting in itself, but their home business of it and the rodents and bugs that these unwashed bottles and cans attract.

They are (apparently) not collecting the bottles because they need to, but because they want to. Big difference.

Even if they needed to there's no excuse for them to be sorting out their garbage-picking at 6 AM or midnight -which they have done frequently - and seven days a week.

If you would look further on the blog you will also see them burning scrap lumber, fallen twigs and branches for a BBQ (which is illegal in NYC).

You like midnight basketball, soccer, baseball? They've got it too!

What about erecting a twenty foot chain link fence?

How about late-night loud, drunken parties?

What about parking a commercial vehicle on their property (a limo)?

What about over-occupancy?

How about a kid who sets up a skateboard jump-ramp which has him and his friends flying out into traffic?

And, how would you like that same kid (or one of his friends) to take karate kicks at your fence breaking the pickets? Or just pulling off the pickets entirely?

No one should have to move because of a bad neighbor.

I feel your pain. I live next door to a vile disgusting man who screams and curses at young children, delivery people, anyone.
He enjoys taking anything that winds up on his lawn and throws it in my driveway or lawn and last week he even raked his leaves in front of my house, where we park.
Cant move. I hate him.

I understand. I have a mean, vile, dishonest neighbor who has created harmful and hurtful lies and emotional drama against innocent neighbors to hide her OWN culpability. The sad thing is that people believe her lies rather than wanting to see what SHE has done and said. Its easier to join her in her campaign against me than to stand up to her. At the end of the day? I am left to suffer her insane lying, screaming, trespassing, provocations, theft, and drama. Its the worst thing I have ever had to endure.

Haha, neighbors can definetely be an issue when you are choosing a place to live. Over in Fort Collins, we have some serious bad neighbor potential so it's better to do research ahead of time to find out whether it would be an issue or not that's for sure.
