Brothers charged with trespassing for going home

From the Daily News:

A Brooklyn man standing in front of his apartment was hit with a trespassing ticket, even after cops watched him use his key to get inside.

Lindsey Riddick, still fuming over the bizarre Aug. 18 incident, said he showed police his identification. And when he opened the door to the Flatbush home, his girlfriend and two daughters greeted him and then ran outside the apartment.

"I told the officer, 'I live here and I have the key,'" recalled Riddick, 36, whose brother, Michael Riddick, also got a summons for trespassing. "You're giving me a summons? Come on, man. You got to be kidding me."

The brothers' claims have been added to a class action federal suit initially filed in May that accuses city cops of doling out illegal summonses to meet quotas.

The class action suit has 22 plaintiffs alleging bogus summonses across the city. In 19 of the cases, the summonses were dismissed. The cases against the Riddick brothers are pending. The disposition in one case wasn't clear late yesterday.

They blame the chinese for the loss of their civil rights.

Use to be 'driving while being black' was enough reason for a NYC cop to give out a ticket. Now walking is a crime too. Guess Sean Bell was ahead of the curve. Pass the ammo.

The NYPD is the most criminal organization in America today.

No other department/organization has violated the rights of the citizens of this country more than the NYPD. No other department/organization has fabricated UNJUSTIFIED charges or criminal acts/behaivor than the NYPD.

Really think about it, when you can't even go into your own home/building without, not only, being stopped by the cops, but having them right a false ticket and have to appear in court and actually fight that ticket.

NYPD = Anti-freedom

Investigate the summons writers and suspend them for a hearing to kick them off the force.

Most likely overzealous and inexperienced rookies. They will be dealt with swiftly and firmly for bringing embarrassment to Emperor Bloomberg and Darth Kelly, and for exposing the NYPD's failure to properly train their recruits in discretion and common sense.

It was tongue in cheek.
It was a reference to a post yesterday about the asian mall coming to flushing where someone commented about us losing our civil rights because the chinese are taking this area over.

Crappy if you hear more about this class action suit please post the details. I would never much like to join this suit as I basically had the same thing happen to me as these guys.

Bloomburg and his merry band of chiefs and higher ups in the police dept. are the ones who we should really blame. They put such a harsh summons quota on the cops. What the cops did here was not right but running from 911 call to 911 call they do not have the time to meet these absurd quotas so they "manufacture" tickets and this is the end result.
