I hate to see ads like this -
College Point once had beautiful gardens on very ample sized properties.

very sad.

In some GOOD news, and slightly related - One house over by Bowne Park that the board here was afraid was going to get torn down will not be. My next door neighbor bought it, and is moving in. Good news for that area, bad for me personally, because I really LIKE my neighbor. I hope my new neighbors are just as good (can't be better)

This is happening in eastern Queens-- Hollis and Queen Village. Next year this disease will spread into Bellerose and Floral Park. There is nothing that can stop it. Absolutely nothing.

I almost, ALMOST bought a house in College Point a few years back. It was still nice well-kept.

A few tell-tale signs that things were about to turn downhill thankfully scared me off.

I went back a few weeks ago as i was in the area, and sure enough, tons of queens crap going up.

Looks like the armies in Flushing is starting to push further north. Very unfortunate.

For all these real-estate people who put out these ads, I would urge all people to boycott them. They make their money off commission. If you need to sell your house, go on owner.com and sell it that way. Put ads in the papers "For Sale By Owner." Unfortunately, the only way to punish these local realtors is by hitting them in the pocket. If it wasn't for the average Joe looking for or selling a house or renting an apartment, they would fold up. Boycott any Realtor who runs these ads.

Its already started in Bellerose, Floral Park.
Lots of Paki's moving in that area.

-And East.
Little Neck and Bayside continues to be ravaged.

Now these Asians backed by the Rev.Moon organization are knocking on doors and real estate places in Manhasset.
They stalk old people with pre war houses. Make deals offering big cash and incentives for their kids if the homeowner can get variances and rezoning from the Town of North Hempstead crooks.
Why do these people love these FUGLY Fedders barracks & brick funeral temples with tiny or no windows

REALITY

YOU A REAL ESTATE BROKER ON A BLOCK BUSTING BINGE?

THERE IS PLENTY WE CAN DO ABOUT IT, BUT THE FIRST THING IS TO BASH THE GREEDY FINGERS OF THE LANDMARKED DISTRICTS (WHERE THE DEVELOPERS AND ARCHITECTS AND BANKERS AND POLITICANS LIVE THAT FEED INTO THIS) OFF THE THROAT OF COMMUNITY PRESERVATION MOVEMENT IN NYC AND LET THE REST OF US IN.

ONCE THAT HAPPENS, THINGS WILL CHANGE REAL QUICK.

STEP ONE: ABOLISH THE LANDMARK LAW IN ITS CURRENT FORM.
