DOT's lack of vision being noticed

A Fine Blog writes about what a disappointment the latest DOT public plaza project is shaping up to be, while in Europe, they found a much more exciting way to paint the street.
Colored paving stones display a replica of a work of art by Russian painter Vassily Kandinsky on the main square of the Bavarian town of Weilheim, southern Germany, Thursday, July 31, 2008. Kandinsky painted this square in 1909. (AP / July 31, 2008)

All those colors reminds me of something new I saw in Greenpoint tonight.
....And its wasnt the slyline & Empire State Building !

They "thing" looks like 6 GIANT tits or better yet 6 space Shuttle external fuel tanks connected with gantry's.

This new launch pad complex also has colored lights, high fencing, cameras etc.

When does Greenpoint liftoff to the moon ?

And if it were that pattern, you'd knock it too. Anything to rip the DOT, Crappy, right? God, this blog is so predictable and vapid.

No, I would say, "Isn't this cool?" And post photos. Kind of like I just did.

Sounds like a chapter from a long lost Huxley novel, Brave New Crap.

An overcrowded city, mismanaged by its greedy caretakers, seeks to appease the people by painting things green and installing fake plastic grass. The fake grass contains built in toxins and amplifies heat to disorient to people, so they will be keep believe the city's load of crap.

You really can't write fiction as ridiculous as the shit Bloomberg and his dip-shit deputies come up with.

This will no doubt go down in history as one of the most laughable projects and worst uses of taxpayer money ever. The Kandinsky project looks good, because it was inspired by a great work of art. The city project looks awful because it was a sad attempt to trick people into thinking they have green space with city-sponsored graffiti.

Everyone, stop paying your taxes if this is what Bloomberg is doing with them.

So we should paint our public plazas instead of planting trees and shrubs?

Why can't we do both?
