3 stupids, this must have been that raging party down Cooper ave. That outdoor bar by the railroad tracks next to the former Radium clock & dial manufacturing company.
The ground and weeds tick Geiger counters over there, I lived on Seneca & Norman st, everybody knew this.
My grandfather would go there to test surplus Geiger Muller tubes from Canal street. He had this contraption wooden board with headphones, battery, car spark coil and capacitor.
Pop, Pop, Pop, like slow popcorn every 2 seconds or so then into a long continuous rattle or "buzz" when you got close
Was also a track, reverse spur or something to back coal into the Deitz coal company (those silos are now condos)
Some of this coal and dust had uranium and radon gas in it, but that wasn't known in 1898.
These 3 idiots are lit, flaming, twisted and gassed alright !!
2 Gas lines under those tracks from what I remember, A public bar, parking unknown cars & trucks shouldn't be there so close.

Thanks, BTW The gas lines I speak of supply all of Queens, Randalls Island Bronx and 1/2 of Manhatton. Even a worker said if they wanna glow in the dark, get stoned, get cancer let the stupid but this putting a raging Bar and public access feet from such one of the most important gas lines is the City is insane stupid.
The guy was mad as hell, "Is the city nuts to issue such a permit?'.
(I forgot what those two 36 inch or so wide lines are called, I saw them exposed and asked when the Seneca ave tressle had huge chunk of concrete covering fall off the bottom on to the road )
