Supreme Court rules against Cuomo

Yesterday the US Supreme Court ruled that New York's "special" limits on religious gatherings violated the First Amendment to the US Constitution. In other words, Cuomo can't arbitrarily choose 10 or 25 people as an attendance limit for houses of worship while 100 are shopping at Costco at the same time. And it was our local Catholic diocese, along with Agudath Israel, that got this nonsense stopped.

I think the Supreme courts inaction is related to conservative bible packing church going Republicans, they suffer from a form of brainwashing.
The church, Vatican and pope have a remote controls hardwired directly to all them.
This Supreme court has no separation of church & state, it should be a requirement that all Supreme Court judges should be atheists or agnostics with age limit of 65 or so to prevent interference from the church in valid emergency's like this.

We have government intervention because you can't help yourselves to infect other people. God has given you an answer on what to do, and that's stay home. People can't seem to do that on their own. I think a lot of people here don't understand what the ruling actually states. It does not say that government can't impose restrictions on houses of worship. It actually says they have to abide by the same rules imposed on everyone else. So if indoor dining or stores are limited to 25% capacity, you can't pull a different number out of your ass and limit a church to only 10 people. Churches/synagogues/mosques, etc still have to abide by mask edicts and 6-foot social distancing requirements. They are subject to inspections and fines if they do not comply, just as everyone else is. The decision was ensuring equality, not offering special privileges.
