From the Daily News:
Wet wipes that increasing numbers of New Yorkers are using instead of toilet paper are clogging the city’s sewer system — and now the City Council is mulling a crackdown.
A bill to be introduced Thursday by Councilmen Donovan Richards (D-Queens) and Antonio Reynoso (D-Brooklyn) would ban advertising or labeling the moist toilet wipes as “flushable.”

Our esteemed city council should be labeled as flushable
adults are using these?
talk about arrested development,I wonder if these people powder afterwards.
QC,
For compliance's sake, is this blog flushable? Please let me know before I blow my income tax refund in case I need to get my plumbing up to code.
Then kiss my ass without wiping! Talk about a nanny state....this is it. I hope you all like chocolate!
Those aren't wet wipes getting stuck in the turbines. It's all diapers that the illegals in Queens are jamming down their illegal toilets.
Those dirty politicians, posing as our representatives at City Hall, should be required to go through a sanitizing chamber before they exit...lest they infect us all. I won't name any names. You know who you are.
Bring them to Flushing...a great place to flush council members.
I think I will form a sphincter lobby group...."A clean asshole is a given right for every citizen". Shove that where the sun don't shine!
What about all those Pampers and tampons, etc. ? If NYC were a bit more serious about cleaning up its own act this would be Camelot.
If Europe got one thing right, it's the Bidet.
It's nice to know that Queens' councilmembers aren't the only ass-wipes that cause problems in the city...
Japan uses high-tech, heated-seat toilets. By a push of a button when done, water from a nozzle squirts to wash the area, followed by blow drying. No toilet papers.
In Greece, you squat on metal footsteps over a drain on an inclined floor, do your business, and then yank on a chain which flushes the entire floor.
That's why they all stink!
