Joe Moretti kisses Jamaica goodbye

From Cleanup Jamaica Queens:

Time to head to greener and much cleaner pasture and time to finally say goodbye to Clean Up Jamaica Queens and eventually good riddance Jamaica and all its ghettoness. I feel that way too much of my time was wasted in a community where way too many people do not give a shit, too many bottom of the barrel types live and some of the worst, corrupt and lazy elected officials ever are in office. I would look around this community and just shake my head and say "what the fuck am I doing here and fighting for". Look at many parts of this "community", if you could call it that, it is one big total mess with very little to offer anyone outside of low-class ghetto trash and immigrants who do not know better. Every time getting angry at Jamaica is time that I wasted and can never get back, so time to move on and end this.

My goal from the get go was to bring major awareness to the horrendous garbage problem and other quality of life issues here in Jamaica and throw them into the public's eye and especially into the many useless, corrupt and lazy politicians faces of the Jamaica community who have done such a disservice to this place. So in that sense, I have accomplished the goal that I had always set out to do, I never had visions of grandeur nor did I think I would ever carry this out for as long as I did. But like everything in life, all things come to an end and my part has ended.

You did an amazing job of bringing to light all of the crap that is going on in Jamaica, the hotbed of corruption. You fought a valiant fight and your work was not done in vane.
The residents better take a page from your efforts and continue to fight for what's right. It's up yo each and everyone of us 8 million residents to speak up, get involved, and ensure a comfortable and safe quality of life in our neighborhoods . Don't wait for someone else to raise hell, we must do it ourselves, and hopefully our city will soon be better for it.
Good luck Joe. And from one a Italian to another, you did good and you will be missed . Hope you keep on fighting for what's right wherever you go.

My grandmother grew up in Jamaica in the 1920's. If she had seen Jamaica today, she'd cry to see what it has become. All of my ancestors dating as far back as the 1830s would cry for all of nyc. My ancestors helped build this city and they would be so disappointed by it today. All of their hard work was destroyed by dirty people and greedy politicians who do nothing to stop the dirt and garbage and filth in this city. The neighborhoods that were once beautiful neighborhoods are now destroyed and being invaded by filthy people.

Time to move away. It can hurt to leave home, but it can hurt worse to remain unnoticed, unappreciated, in a home that might collapse around you any day. Jamaica has been written off, except for Jamaica Estates.

Thanks much for all your support folks and for those who disliked what I said or were offended, FUCK YOU.

I will still be in this shit hole of Jamaica for awhile till I get everything in order and then I am not quite sure where I will land.

But the blog stops, but will stay up for history to show how majorly fucked up Jamaica and the asshole leaders were.

Who knows maybe I will write something again in the future, but for know, the fucking ghetto buck stops here.

Thanks folks!

Historic effort Jamaica Joe but enough's enough ! Those lazy good for nothings enjoy living in pig pen's and would revert Jamaica back no matter how much it was cleaned up.
Like most wild animals it takes generations of special care to domesticate. -and even then no guarantee's.
Combine that with all these crooked politicians who adore these UN-educated good for nothing slobs that perpetually vote democrat and a wave of illegal immigrants getting voting and driving privileges (as in mobile gang banging California's slumhoods
A one party socialist system is coming, Obama and the democrat machine will make sure of this.

FORGEDABOUDIT !! Get out wile you can things are only going to get worse MUCH WORSE!! Thank you for your service and hard work. Check out some parts of Texas, it's warm, in most countys you can carry loaded guns, 99% white population that doesn't elect asshole democrats or welcome scum.

It seems the real garbage heads straight to NYC and California because of all the free stuff the no good NY politicians are offering

Good luck in your new life Joe

Those wise old Segregationists of the early 1960’s warned of ghettos like Jamaica (once a paradise) would happen overnight with forced Integration and ASSIMILATION via the swipes of Johnson’s pen to the civil & housing rights acts. (now referred by politicos, school teachers, college professors as diversity) Forced on us at the point of federal bayonets, handcuffs and guns.
Fast forward to 2014:
Massive section 8 millions homeless, The Knock out game, black flash mobs, riots, kill cops now, massive non white gang violence rampant in public schools, ghettozation of major cities like Anahiem, Tuscaloosa, Atlanta, Detroit, Queens NY etc.
Let not forget new words like "mulatto", "mestizo", "la-raza", and "zambo" This was ALL forced on us at gunpoint in the holy name of DIVERSITY !

To DiBlasio and all you other f_cking moron politicians in charge looking to CRUSH us old pests who believe in laws, the 2 party system, and the US Constitution"
DIVERSITY is not our strength. DIVERSITY is just a code word for WHITE GENOCIDE!!

Joe, the problem here is the lack of understanding how to change things.

You are dealing with a culture that, like something in the bottom of the fridge, has taken sometime to fester and grow.

Solutions are easy: any kid in grad school polysci can write a rather complete report on what ails the system and how it can be solved.

The problem is people in accepting it and the weight of inertia.

The secret is a willingness to commit an extensive period to fight and a time period that is measured in decade, not just a few years and not a single one shot issue that soon gets lost in the general crap within each community.

We have seen over and over again how a group forms, and just as they see pushback from the pols, the group immediately fractures. The pols are aces as seducing the rank and file from its leadership.

Or, as in Joe's case, you find someone so frustrated that they leave before they get started.

No, no one will replace him. The cloud that you cannot beat city hall will be reinforced. All the lots he worked on will revert to what they used to look like.

It was fun while it lasted.

But the good thing is that somewhere else another Joe will rise, and another and yet another. The day of the machine are indeed numbered. Good government is in our future if not in our lifetime.

Anybody out there 50+ and grow up near Jamaica (notice I didn't say in Jamaica)? I did. It started to become a shit hole in the mid-1960s, and never came back, despite many attempts, and many tax dollars. There is no dishonor here to moving on after 40 years of effort. I understand Calcutta has been a shit hole for thousands of years. Like the poor, these places will always be with us.

Jamaica began going downhill in the mid 50s. That's why my parents chose Whitestone. We just fled the Bronx in good time where the Soundview Projects started going up. Are people of color responsible for Jamaica's slobby look? I did not say that.

What low born third worlders do in their own ghettos back home is throw the garbage in the streets. These are the wonderful customs they bring to America.

""All the lots he worked on will revert to what they used to look like"

Yep, those people like it that way ! Its going to be hard for a REAL New Yorker like Joe to move and adapt. He may be better off looking for a place on the North Shore (from Little Neck north east ) where he would be appreciated. He would make a great civic leader and THOSE PEOPLE would be 100% behind him and that area should still be good for another 15 years. We are all finished when the tsunami of illegal immigrant baby's currently flooding the NYC school system start reproducing. This usually starts at age 13 or so. 1/2 the females will graduate never HS and be pregnant and on welfare for life with perhaps 1/4 the population paying for it all. This IS whats going to happen people need to face the facts. Cancer has been invited in and is rooted too deep to remove. Queens is FINISHED !!

Joe - I would suggest sell as fast you can and joining the "City Data Forum" for the "scoop" on other city's.

"throw the garbage in the streets"

STREETS ? These new people throw the containers, garbage & chicken bones right out the window !!

Seneca ave & Norman st Ridgewood: The old guy next door from my property getting killed with taxes f_cked up and rented his top floor to to a Guatamalan couple with one kid. He had never rented before and didn't know the consequences & legality issues. Within 2 weeks the woman's "man" split and over 7 men were living up there with her in 3 rooms. She was then pregnant again and stopped paying rent. These animals would eat chicken legs and eject the raw garbage & bones right out the window down down into the backyard. Destroyed the whole top floor, holes in walls. Despite all the photo, video evidence and police reports it still took a fucking judge over 30 "last chances" to finally sign papers for a sheriff to execute a physical eviction order.
Now get Get this ! The sheriff could only execute that order AFTER the 2nd kid was born and a shelter apartment was available !!
ANOTHER 9 months of garbage being thrown out the window, fights, misery and property damage.

I'm still trying to sell the house, no family's with money will buy because the schools are getting so bad. On look at PS68 or 77 getting out and they fear for their children's lives and education. I'm gonna take a huge loss on that nice old Stier house.

Wow, I'm really going to miss your posts. But I can understand why you want to move to greener pastures. I understand how daunting it is to try to improve quality of life, and how it seems (by the rampant garbage and, as you term it, "garbage indifference") that no one else gives a crap. Unfortunately the people who don't give a crap seem to outnumber those who do. But you at least made an effort, which is much more than many people do. So thank you for all of the time and thought and PASSION you put into CleanUpJamaica. You may not realize it, but you were actually very inspiring, and you will be missed!

Queens is not finished. It is being systematically looted. Remember Mahattan used to be the hub of ethnic nabes...Little Itsly....Chinatown...etc. The new ethnic nabes are in Queens. It will go through the cycle that ghetto Manhattan nabes did. Whether we will see them recover in our lifetimes is another matter. But when NYC runs out of land, Queens will be cleared of its third worlders to make room for the wealthy. That is already happening in Brooklyns former dangerous nabes. Look to who owns or holds the land in the meantime. Then look to the pols they play footsie with. I learned all this in sociology one.

Ned said...

"I learned all this in sociology one"

Let me guess:
Dictated by some ex-stinkin-hippie, pinko liberal college professor right ? (likely St.John's U or USC)
If Queens is ever flushed of its third world shit what will remain at the current rate of destruction will be completely un- recognizable.
Rebuilt with towers & shitboxes (or not) still means DESTROYED, GONE, DEAD and BURIED. You can’t replace heritage, culture and fine old school craftsmanship with CAD architecture and money.

I wonder how long before some Hong Kong or local genius backed with big foreign "cash bag money" proposes to build over the east river, creeks or start relocating some cemetery's.
Assholes all of them !

God bless you for your hard work and efforts.

It was inspiring to see someone so motivated who believed in the neighborhood.

Your name saint, St. Joseph will bring you a new home.

Get a statue of him, dig a hole in the garden or you have none, a planter and bury the statue. Your buyers will line up.

You deserve the best. Try Kingsport, TN.
