Another gas station bites the dust

This popular Citgo station at the corner of Eliot Avenue and Fresh Pond Road recently closed shop. A sign on the building says they moved to Brooklyn, possibly along with the Nathan's franchise it hosted. We'll watch to see what moves in.

Perhaps yet another Dunkin Donuts? What else could possibly go there?

With a Subway and KFC/PizzaHut in the strip mall next door, a Wendy's across the street, a Chinese take out place up the block and numerous pizza joints along Fresh Pond I wonder what fast food emporium will occupy the corner.

Another bank!!! Why are there so many banks when everyone banks online now?

I don't know about you, but I'm praying for more faceless corporate retail!

Two floors of professional offices.

Can't have been all that popular if it closed down. Hopefully we get something the locals will better utilize.

If it moved and didn't go out of business, then it's more likely the victim of a rent hike, not lack of patronage.

Lower floor would be commercial & 3/4 stories of apartments. All pieces of land is up for grabs!!!

My family owned this gas station in the 60's. It was a Gulf station with a repair and body shop. We did the used car work for Myrtle Motors Pontiac. Sad....
