Hello, 311?... Parks Department?........

Oh who are we kidding. Anybody here live near this?

Please go and cut it down if you can. From the photo it looks as though it has been strapped on with a plastic band. If so, a pair of hand pruners will do the job. Then take the abandoned property (i.e., the sign) and throw it in a garbage can a few blocks away (hope there's one nearby that's not overflowing).

If cutting this down in front of onlookers bothers you, try to do it at around 7AM although it's unlikely anybody will bother you. I've done it dozens of times.

Also, you could complain to CVS's regional office and see if they're interested (probably not).

If you have 5 minutes today - call CVS and bug them!

This from consumerist.com!

Here is some information you might find handy.

Call 401-765-1500 and press #

This will get you into the Company phone directory. All you have to do is say the name of the person you want to call…including the CEO (Tom Ryan). You wont get him, he has 2 dedicated secretaries, but it will get things moving along.

Also, if the people being “nasty” are pharmacists or in-training, the worst they will get is a slap on the hand. There is a lack of pharmacists in the country right now so no-one will get fired.

The most customer service can authorize is a $25 gift card. That is hard-coded into the system. The only person that can go over that limit is the District manager. You can usually find their name on the main store door (should list the manager and DM).

311 call will have sanitation investigate.

Just sent this email to the CEO and many others:

Just an FYI – a CVS boycott in NYC has just been called!

http://queenscrap.blogspot.com/2014/06/cvs-uses-street-tree-for-advertising.html"

Please note all the garbage in the picture – this is a filthy, understaffed CVS that was immortalized on Queens Crap today! Congratulations!

It was handy finding all of your email addresses on a change.org (http://www.change.org/petitions/boycott-cvs-caremark) petition site. Another reason to be proud!

Hey - it worked for Joe's garbage-strewn clothing bin at the the AutoZone in Jamaica.

I will pass by there today and speak to CVS and have them removed and tree pit cleaned up. This is the first time this has been done, I believe. I walk by there nearly every day.

Filed my complaint. This is what we need to do with all kinds of quality of life issues. Action not just bitching.

Done.

Parks removed it at 8:30am this morning. Success! Sometimes 311 works.
