Fake cabbie caught driving fake cab with fake medallion

QUEENS (WABC) -- A Queens man has been arrested for driving a fake taxi cab, complete with a fake medallion, and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Police say 55-year-old Sui Tan of Queens was arrested at 60th Road and Woodhaven Boulevard at 5:33 a.m. after his fake cab was spotted by TL&C officers.

TLC impounded a fake taxi cab and took the driver into custody. The vehicle was painted taxi yellow and even had a fake medallion, which was obvious to inspectors.

Tan is charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed operator.

Complete with fake insurance and fake driver's license too. Maybe he should send a substitute to his court appearance too.
