On today's agenda...

11 a.m. Michael Bloomberg and Janette Sadik-Khan attend the opening of a new asphalt plant, at 30-01 Harper Street, in Queens. [Courtesy of the Politicker]

They are cutting a ribbon on a city-owned asphalt plant in Willets Point.

That's right - as long as it's city-owned, industrial uses are okay.

I hope to own a condo there some day so I can blog about black lung.

Prediction: Not one reporter asks why they think it will be a good idea to have 5500 housing units, schools and retail shops near an asphalt plant and not one asks why this site wasn't included in the rezoning of Willets Point.

The Mayor is doing great things, he really cares about us. Maybe we get proper street fix in Jackson Height now yes ? All these Archie Bunkers should move to Long Island to finish life and let him do his job for the new people
