Unintentionally amusing

Atlantic Yards Report has a funny one today:

On yesterday's Live from City Hall with Mayor Mike and John Gambling radio show, Mayor Mike Bloomberg said some very curious things about sweetheart deals, tax-exempt financing, and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's capital budget.

At about 25:45, he flatly declared:
Letting any group have a special deal is not what democracy is about. It breeds contempt for our laws.

Pop Quiz: That was said in relationship to...
A) The zoning override that allows Forest City Ratner to build Atlantic Yards at the size it desires
B) The City Council's vote, at his behest, to overturn and extend term limits
C) The ongoing sales by Indian reservations of tax-free cigarettes

Answer: C

Can anyone tell the difference between the corrupt pair of morons Commissar Death and Taxes and his half wit twin Blagojevich?

I'll bet you cannot.

Wait. Did Blagojevich ever steal private property for profitable use by his wealthy developer cronies?

So, so far we know that Blagojevich sells Senate seats that don't belong to him, and the Commissar sells other people's private property. The victims can always reclaim the Senate seat; after all, it's always there as the property of the citizens. How do private property owners get their property back?

Hail Bloomberg. Emperor. New York

"Ave Caesar! Morituri te salutant!"

"Hail Caesar! We who are about to die salute you!" (Said by the gladiators as they entered the arena to do combat.)

Ave Bloomberg. Imperator. Novus Eboracus.

Is it not amazing that the NYT has a very large and expensive building and big staff with state of the art equipment and cannot make the same connections that Crappie can with a simple website?

I think the Age of Mammals is just around the corner.

The barbarians to arise? I don't think so. The barbarians (aka illegal immigrants) are already within the gates of the city. The barbarians love the emperor.

Unless Bloomberg's unlawful attempt
to usurp democracy is overturned in the courts...

DO NOT CAST YOUR VOTE TO PUT THE BASTARD IN FOR A THIRD TERM!

Ave Bloomberg indeed. And though I believe 'New York' is a second declension, I believe that it is neuter, not masculine, making Bloomberg praefectus (or Imperator, as Georgie put it) of Novum Eboracum.
