The St. John's Board of Trustees should re read their lofty mission statement because they have strayed far from it under Father Harrington's leadership. SJU has given up being a good neighbor in lieu of profits. A most unbecoming trait for a religious institution
i'm glad sju students realize that this project is not against them but against the dorm. a 485 person dorm is grossly inappropriate for the neighborhood and under circumstances, unsafe for the students! how can that amount of water not affect the foundation of the building?
This flooding looks like a construction site on 21st, between 30th ave and 30th rd. They have been dumping water onto the sewers for months. They even run the pumps at night. They must have a lot of ground water. I have to jump over the hose every day on the way to the bus stop.

fight the elmhurst homeless shelter
The Bloomberg Administration is sending 29 homeless men and women to live in a converted 3-family house in the middle of a residential street in Elmhurst. There will be a rally at 86-18 58th Avenue on Saturday July 11 at 11am to protest this decision. Please come and show your support for the people of 58th Avenue.
The revolution starts NOW
If elected Mayor, Tony will fight to make sure that communities are never ignored the way they have been under Mike Bloomberg. But he needs your help. He needs plenty of volunteers to help him get on the ballot. You can call his campaign at (718) 855-7038 and ask for Jen Deerinwater, Field Director, or for Dan Levin, Volunteer Coordinator. You may also email them at jen@tonyavellaformayor.com and daniel@tonyavellaformayor.com.

It is refreshing to hear that Father Harrington's dictatorial managemant style has not rubbed off on St. Johns Student!
