An Open Letter to Fedders

Here we have an open letter to Fedders.

Brilliant and funny and after almost a year, unfortunately still relevant.

You would think they would either change their name or redesign their product. Who with any sense, wants to be associated with the word "crap" as in "Fedders crap." Of course, if Gallagher tears down St Saviour's, we can say 'Gallagher's Crap," too. Oh sorry, we said anyone with sense, so I guess that exempts Mr. Gallagher, doesn't it?

Now now, lets be nice. It's His Lordship, the Right Honorable Gallagher. Umm, boys, didn't we fight a revolution or something? But then, maybe someone was asleep during history class? Why doesn't someone erect a Gallagher pole right in the middle of Maspeth? Somewhere along the expressway so EVERYONE can see it? Maybe a newspaper will write about it.

Wasn't it Tommy Huang (in close consultation with our Councilman Dennis Gallagher) who pioneered this stlye of building? I wonder if the Mazeau St. atrocity will be getting Fedders or Friedrich air conditioners! Call up Dennis and ask him. He seems to know a lot about everything (including how to sell-out St. Saviour's) God be praised for "term limits"!

Rumor has it that Gallagher is calling up everyone on the community board to vote to develop St Saviours.

Maybe someone should also call them up and ask if this is so.

Any newspaper out there want to do something useful for a change, or are they going to mechanically report that the community (sorry, I mean the political appointees on the 'community' board) once again is writing their death warrent?

At a recent weekend real estate seminar (held in Manhattan, of course) for those brokers needing to renew their licenses, Maspeth was named as the newest and " hottest" location for development in the city! We know that they really meant "OVER-DEVELOPMENT" and there was a "buck" to be made here! Did you ever feel that you were being"targeted"? I guess they know that land here is "cheap (compared with the "North-East" corner of Queens) and assume that we're all just "local-yokels" waiting to be "fleeced"! Let's all get out there and sharpen our wits and squeeze some of our lame , well-vested, politicos into representing the real interests of our community. More parks, new schools, better health care etc. This is not going to be the new test-site for the BEHEMOTH- BUILDING- BOOM ! Roll up your sleeves and get ready for the planned invasion!.
