Queensbridge Park to get new parkhouse

From LIC Post:

Plans to overhaul the Queensbridge Park House were unveiled Thursday, with city officials announcing that $3 million will be spent on redoing the dilapidated space that has been out of use for decades.

The Park’s old field house, which was built in 1941, will be demolished and replaced by a new 15,500 square foot facility. The new field house will include a community room, an office area for Parks staff, a public restroom, and storage space for the park’s maintenance equipment. It will be also be surrounded by an outdoor plaza area complete with seating, bicycle racks and drinking fountains.

Work on the park is expected to begin in fall, with the project expected to take 12-18 months to complete.

So the spend maintenance money on paying hotel owners to warehouse current illegals (and future Democrats) and let infrastructure run into the ground so that the well connected (read Democrat donors) can milk the system with honest graft that take twice the money and twice the time to complete.

That artist rendition - when was the last time a white person set foot inside Queensbridge Park who wasn't there on city business or legitimately got lost?

Why is this even news?? What would really be news is if the Parks Dept ever took care of a fucking little league field anywhere in their parks, but they don't. The local leagues take care of it, I know this first hand. The Parks Dept must be even more corrupt than the NYCDOE if that's possible. Over 2 years to put a bathroom in by Fort Totten. Yeesh!

What is ludicrous is having the white person prominent in the foreground; makes me wonder whether the new park house will be prefab, as it appears the architects have never been in this park, bec if they had, they wld not have had the "rendering" so out-of-touch with the site.
