Little Bay crapper on hold again

From the Queens Courier:

The completion of Little Bay Park’s comfort station is being postponed yet again, officials said.

The Parks Department said the most recent delay was due to a harsh winter and an unusually high amount of soil that had to be removed from the construction site.

The new deadline for completion is set for next spring and, once finished, it will end a project that has sputtered along for a decade.

I guess composting isn't a priority here.

Nor is efficiency.

I think the Verrazano Narrows Bridge was built quicker than this.

Better be strapped if you go in there.

I had a meltdown about this a few months ago, and about the fact that us locals cannot use the lovely waterfront area by Fort Totten, never mind oarking there. Vallone's office tried to blow me off with his probably-scripted "responses".Why isn't the Parks Commissioner responsible for, this mess? Why isn't anyone in charge of this money pit of a project here???

Because they STOLE THE MONEY!!!

That's the ONLY reason a contractor hasn't finished the job - this is a TINY project!

How about calling for a FEDERAL INVESTIGATION of DeSleazio and the Parks Dept.?

I see only two workers there from time to time.
No wonder it's taking so long.

An investigation, sure. But bear in mind that this project wasn't cooked up in the current administration. This was a Bloomberg/Benepe special.
