Wow, what a bargain!

I couldn't help but laugh at this ad on Brownstoner Queens:

There’s a new building renting at 37-53 75th Street, right off Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. There are six full-floor units, all three and four bedrooms. The three-bedroom units are asking $2,950 a month, four bedrooms are asking $3,600.

What idiot is paying that much to rent a piece of Steve Chon Queens Crap in Jackson Heights? This replaced a one-family home.

I wonder what will occupy the first floor. Day care center?
Jewelry store? Methadone clinic?

Foreigners and yuppies will pay anything for crap...they don't Care if they are getting ripped off as long as they can claim that they live in NYC.

I saw this yesterday and cracked up. This is nothing but one big piece of cheaply built third world crap.

Four bedrooms, can you imagine how many low class immigrants can fit in that one, at least 20 people.

No doubt a day care on the bottom or some hack immigrant doctor.

The front looks perfect for garbage cans with no lids and garbage overflowing.

This shit certainly belongs on Queens Crap.

If you squeeze one family into each bedroom it's much more affordable. Oh, an the balcony looks like it could fit a mattress.

Voted Best Piece of Queens Crap of the year!
Joe, guarantee that those fences come down so they can park their uninsured cars on the sidewalk...

No. The balconies will be used to store bicycles, carriages, and oversized pastic tote bins.
Just wait until the satellite dishes are installed.
This will be a true gem , not to be missed.

I wonder how many cars they will manage to squeeze into that front yard. And if they need more room, hey, no problem! Just move the fence out more into the sidewalk! Hell, who cares? This is Queens, no one is paying attention. VIBRANT! DIVERSE!

I can picture one of those generic houses of worship going into the ground floor.

If there are renters who are willing to pay the asking price, why should it bother anyone? isn't this our capitalist system?

Those big trees will sure to come down.

This is a crap shit low-class third world nightmare on a even bigger scale.

Don't forget, balconies are also used for hanging tons of laundry.

I am sure if you look up the owner it will be Mohammed Ikbar or some shit like that.

If there are renters will to pay
--------------------------------
The problem is not that people can afford the rents the problem is that they can't so they violate zoning by stuffing several families together so they can pay the rent. They they break laws by parking on sidewalks. Grossest of all they use their balconies as storage/garbage.
AND THEY ALL GET AWAY WITH IT.

Joe, you like to eat the falafel with or without the spicy sauce? I cook for you.

Its Asian - Chinese.

And yes, it will be a 3rd world slum - in a borough that used to boast some of the finest planned communities - anywhere.

The community preservationists seem to have forgotten anything out of Manhattan or eastern Brooklyn.

Bastards.

You can get a mortgage in nice parts of queens on a single family home for less than that, with more bedrooms.

It's not Chinese. It's Indian, I believe.

Absolutely hideous!! And what are the paupers in that squalor going to use to pay for it? Some Asian will have to turn it into a house of ill repute in order to make the rent. Either that or stuff several Mexican families into one apartment.

Queens Brownstowner should be called Queens pennysaver.

That site is just shit.

Joe Moretti said...

You might what to take a look at the listing on Brownstowner and see what the real estate person had to say after reading many negative comments on that site in regards to this building.

It is good for a laugh.

What another piece of crap building to occupy Queens. It makes me sick. Hopefully this building remains unoccupied to punish these losers for building such crap and knocking down a beautiful home. Send a message to any low class brainless contractor or developer.

Good work on the comments on that Brownstoner thing.

We need to start changing the dialogue to bring real estate back into the real world.
