All you need is stock black & white tiles and a score cutter to fabricate small tile.
Its not a complex process
It doesn't matter anyway.....It's not like most people in NYC can speak English anyway, let alone read it. But, the people who did that job are retarded.... but it won't matter anyway.
why don't we let these graffiti artists just paint the station names on the stops,it will be cheaper and quicker.

That's ridiculous. MTA has some very talented mosaic artists on staff. No reason not to do this right.
So the mosaics at Flushing Meadows aren't the only neglected ones in this city.
We don't have the craftsmen to do proper repair work anymore, when it comes to quality finishes.
All the italian and irish mult-generational contractors are gone, and have been replaced with hispanic laborers that do this work now as odds-and-ends jobs that change week to week.
hating on the developmentally disabled? No one mentioned the state assembly.
