What goes on at "Manhattan Avenue Park"?

Miss Heather sent over these photos of a park at the end of Manhattan Avenue at Newtown Creek. It's interesting the things people leave behind.
A suitcase and a pair of jeans.
A jacket, packet of cigarettes and a water bottle.
Cans of Cobra Beer.
And a really nasty loogie.

Crapper, what's with the gross-outs lately? First a photo of a turd and now a loogie? What's next? Vomit? What happened to those pleasant photos you used to publish, like the arrival of spring? Tra-la-la-la-la..

I thought those photos annoyed you. Besides, I haven't seen much beauty to take photos of lately.

Even Quinn on the very photo beneath can't take it.

You know those beautiful artist renderings of these civic projects that display a scene of serenity with orderly masses strolling through a tranquil urban utopia? Funny how you never see garbage, discarded clothing, loogies or people peeing or puking in them.

You will find the same stuff (and worse) in Flushing Meadow park 50 weeks a year.
