Hotels and houses coming to brownfield site

I was stuck in traffic on the LIE this past weekend and couldn't help but notice that there is building activity at the former Cineplex Odeon site in Fresh Meadows. Last I heard, this was a brownfield site that took years to clean up.
Now they're building 18 homes, a hotel and another hotel on the property.

Hotel? I bet it will be one of those motels for hookers.

Hmmm... $60 for short stay.

Is it allowed for an 6 story building in R3-2 zone? The zoing handbook says the maximum height for R3-2 zone is 25'.

This site is only about 2 or 3 blocks from a very large high school. This is a residential neighborhood, and those businesses faced the LIE service road. Will this be a hotel of prostitution? It's a very strange spot for a hotel!!

Save your money folks! In a few months you'll be able to buy homes on a recovered contaminated brownfield site in Beechhurst. Twenty eight homes are being built on the old contaminated oil dump waste site, won't that be cozy, but of course it'll be nice and clean by then.

And so the LIE, already dubbed the world's longest parking lot, will get even more congested!

Not to worry about the Beechurst site.

Those guinea goombah greaseballs love oil even if it's not extra virgin.

Malba's getting overcrowded with their Mc Mansions so they'll be eager to uy in Beechurst.
