I visited the Queens County Museum where they were being repaired right out in the open, mostly by, I believe, college interns. They were working meticulously and diligently. Thanks guys!!! Great work preserving the history of Queens!!!
Now I can sleep. Hey Gary, The Crapper had nothing to do with it. It's been planned for a long time. They just informed you you of the condition, they had nothing to do with getting the restoration done.I

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

Way to go, Crapper. Take a bow. You deserve it.

Are you sure they were restoring these at the Queens Museum? I think it was the Texaco Map, which was trashed again shortly thereafter.
Those are really nice! Wow. What a beautiful city this can be. Thx, Crappy.

Really? Well the Parks Department sends out a dopey press release each time it plans to plant a tree. So why no hoopla over this?
It wasnt restored by college interns.
The Mosaic got up and recieved a "massagee" on roosevelt and it's feeling better.
now the only thing that sucks is that "pavilion" is misspelled.
To me this fair is a reminder of when America was America. When I went to that fair as a small child in 1964 America was on top of the world.
How far we have fallen.
GREAT! Better world... the power of the press
