This time he means it

Governor Paterson called a special election today for Anthony Seminerio's seat so that the Democratic Party can select their own candidate to put on the ballot.

This is likely in response to Albert Baldeo receiving the endorsement of the DC37 union.

God forbid we should choose who we want to represent us and not be told who will.

Patterson might as well do whatever the F* he wants. He is totally useless and has confirmed his position in history as a (very small) footnote. Perhaps he should be known as the NY CRAP governor?

What the hell is going on? Special election called, special election uncalled, special election called? Are they flipping coins and calling heads or tails up in the governors office on every decision? Who are his advisors? Does he have any? Are we in the twilight zone?

the only qualified candidate is nick comaianni and we lose out because they want to knock baldeo out of the box? what's wrong with the governor, what's wrong with the queens county dems. they should have and could have at least picked a qualified candidate. time to move

God help us all! This is beyond dysfunction. Mike Miller is a place holder, and if and when Liz Crowley is beaten by Tom Oginbebe, she will have a job at our expense. Nepotism and back stabbing at its worse.

Baldeo is a little bit of a sleeze. Was not even brave enough to put his picture on his literature when he ran for Senate. Wanted to make people think he was Italian! He is upset because HE DOES NOT LIVE IN THE DISTRICT! Why would a major union back someone who should not be on the ticket? Other areas have special elections, so what is the problem. Do they think that the District Leaders can't do the job that they were voted to do? Hummmmmmm?????

We need to dump them all and start from scratch!

The fact hat a major union is endorsing a candidate who is not clubhouse-backed, is a surprise. Go Baldeo!
