The poor tree to have to grow around this stupid sign. The property owner has comprised the health of the tree.
Every street in New York at any given time may have children playing. People should be going slow down all residential streets and for a wealth of reasons - the elderly are slowly crossing the street, animals, etc.
That sign has been there for over 30 years. Not sure if the owner of the house is the same but it would be unfair fine the owner now. I grew up on that block and back then you didn't really need the sign. We could play for hours with only a few cars coming down the block and disrupting our games.
These days you can't go 2 minutes without a car coming down a block in Richmond Hill. There aren't any speed bumps on these blocks. Too many cars are putting an end to a NYC tradition of playing in the streets.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. The property owner should be fined.

Perhaps we should fine the City or state government that placed the sign on the tree, most city or state governments place the signs.
