Chinese drywall making people sick

From the AP via Yahoo News:

At the height of the U.S. housing boom, when building materials were in short supply, American construction companies used millions of pounds of Chinese-made drywall because it was abundant and cheap.

Now that decision is haunting hundreds of homeowners and apartment dwellers who are concerned that the wallboard gives off fumes that can corrode copper pipes, blacken jewelry and silverware, and possibly sicken people.

Shipping records reviewed by The Associated Press indicate that imports of potentially tainted Chinese building materials exceeded 500 million pounds during a four-year period of soaring home prices. The drywall may have been used in more than 100,000 homes, according to some estimates, including houses rebuilt after Hurricane Katrina.

USG United States Gypsum Corp. a 72 Billion dollar a year company, doesn't like the competition and is playing the fear card.

There was a time in America's past when a business competed by making thing better, faster and less expensive.

Now with American business and the loyal American consumer, its all about spreading lies and fear.

There's nothing wrong with the drywall, except mass hysteria.

What a way to conquer a nation.

From killing the pets to killing the jobs, to killing the citizens.

And the conquered people do the killing all by themselves. And, pay for the weapons.

And, then elect the politicians who will sign the surrender - all in the name of "cultural diversity"!

Wow, we are a real smart people!

I wonder what Gary Ackerman's cut is from all this?

You mothers had better read the labels on the back of those little juice boxes your kids are drinking at the local Mc Donalds.

The apple variety contain some frozen concentrate from China!

As if having your ceilings collapsed onto your floors aren't enough. When the landlord replaces the ceilings with drywall, they're toxic too!

"USG United States Gypsum Corp. a 72 Billion dollar a year company, doesn't like the competition and is playing the fear card." "There's nothing wrong with the drywall, except mass hysteria."

That is wrong and stupid.

The news media has already documented cases of fumes emitted that cause respiratory problems and worse, corrosion of electrical wiring.

As for USG, some of the tainted drywall has been reported to have their stencil on it. They deny that they imported Chinese drywall but admit that during the peak of the house frenzy they ran short on capacity.

Third world standards are alot different. I have an apt over in Bangkok Thailand..when I go to buy tools or any electrical equipment, I am always amazed at how poor and dangerous the cheap stuff is. You have no idea what junk gets sold in less regulated areas of the world.

Here, learn about the drywall problem:

Don't forget it was Lenin who said, the capitalists will sell us the rope we need to hang them."

Now we don't even sell them the rope, we buy it from them, wrap it around our own necks and climb onto a stool.

Kill the sealife, kill our trees, poison our children with lethal toys and formula and now just put your poison in the drywall. Part of the master race plan?

In rural China mothers have been known to drown their second newborn daughters in a well hoping that the next birth will be a male child!

So don't bother telling me about Chinese culture.

Only a damned savage who'd do that to a child she's carried in he womb!

Worse than that is a custom known as "Ghost Bride." This means that if a son dies unwed, a woman may be purchased with the sole intention of "wedding" her to the dead man. This entails kidnapping a woman and killing her on the man's grave. According to custom this will keep the man's spirit quiet so that he will not haunt others.

That Chinese drywall probably contains the bodies of dissidents!

They're already grinding up some Faulin Daffa (Gong) prisoners.

They've come a very long way since cats in the chow mein!

Chinese drywall manufacturer, Knauf, has agreed to accept “service of lawsuits” for one month, an unprecedented move that eliminates many of the obstacles claimants have been facing, and a huge breakthrough for plaintiffs who have suffered the unpleasant and potentially harmful odors and fumes and metal corrosion associated with defective Chinese drywall. Claimants with KPT drywall need to file on to the suit no later than December 2, 2009, with the suit filed by December 9, 2009. Homes must be inspected before the December deadline so that claimants can submit proof that their house was built with Knauf Drywall. This is a good place to get information on filing a suit: http://www.yourlawyer.com/articles/read/17221 and includes a toll-free number for claimants looking to join the lawsuit. Knauf Plasterboard (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., is alleged to be a subsidiary of the German-based Knauf Gips KG and is one of several Chinese companies accused of manufacturing and importing defective drywall from China into the U.S.
