Two NYC Council Workers Indicted

NEW YORK (AP) -- Two New York City Council employees have been indicted in connection with the allocation of millions of dollars to fake organizations in the city budget.

A federal grand jury has indicted Asquith Reid, who has served as the chief of staff for Councilman Kendall Stewart. The indictment also names council staffer Joycinth Anderson.

The U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan released the indictment on Wednesday.

This pair of indictments will reveal the honesty and thoroughness of the US Attorney's investigation.

If just these two, or just other no-names, we will know the extent of the setup.

It would be impossible that just two low-levels could be responsible for the monstrosity that has occurred.

This is the "low hanging fruit". Rest assured that the rot travels up the vine.

To our councilmembers who we once respected so much, or rather those who never thought they'd get caught:

In only a matter of time, you will get caught and penalized. The truth will always emerge. You are not holy ground. To make it easier for your constituents, and most of all, yourself, turn yourself in right now to the authorities. You know who you are. Avoid a guilty conscience down the line, if you have one.

DOI, investigate Melinda Katz. I wonder if there is any dirt on her.

The tip of the iceberg
means that there's plenty more beneath the water line.

I hope Quinn winds up doing
some time in prison
along with the Vallones
who started this crap!

I'm glad to see the feds involved.

If it were just an NYC operation,
it would have all been covered up!
