The Queens Luxe Banquet Hall, where the Sheriff's office busted up a 200-plus person gathering.

Gothamist

A 200-plus-person party was busted at a Queens banquet hall early Saturday morning, according to the Sheriff's office.

At 1:40 a.m. Saturday, the Sheriff's office discovered approximately 215 people at the Queens Luxe Banquet Hall on Rockaway Boulevard in Queens.

The owner and three employees were given criminal court appearance tickets for violating emergency orders related to COVID-19, according to Sheriff Joe Fucito.

Partiers inside the hall were allegedly seen dancing, drinking alcohol without food, and smoking hookah without social distancing or mask-wearing.

Indoor gatherings with more than 50 people are prohibited under state coronavirus rules.

End the lockdown, this is beyond ridiculous now.

Fear is no way to live.

The religious/ethnic/ethnoreligious group holding THIS wedding is not disclosed. The media only likes to call out certain groups by name.

You guys will not be so glib when it gets serious and hits close to home.

Cuomo and the rest of these "governors" are acting worse than George III ever did. The Founders would have done away with these 21st century petty tyrants by now.

The media only called out those who easily identify themselves by attire & the spectacular fashion in which they violate the covid-19 restrictions. 10,000 individuals attending a wedding seriously?

And who is to say this 200 person party wasn't the same, with something to identify the lawbreakers? Did someone hear blaring bhangra or cumbia music from the outside? Maybe, but we'll never know.

Yeah, leave the super spreader events to the spreader-in-chief's rallies.

I see the QC comment folks get dumber and more idiotic as years go by. AND by the way asshole, it is NOT a lock-down as you stated. Yep, dumber by the years. I love looking at the comments to see how many stupid idiotic ones I will see and it never disappoints. Now go back to your Sean Hannity show, but wipe trump's feces off his lips first.

The "lockdown" would have been over already if everyone had actually locked down for a month or two earlier this year and let the virus die out. But no, stupid people will be stupid and party and/or pray with other stupid people and spread the stupid virus.

"Fear is no way to live."

I don't get this whole "fear" line. Being careful not to spread the virus isn't "living in fear". Is wearing a seat belt living in fear? Is looking twice before you cross the street living in fear? Is getting an annual physical living in fear? Is avoiding junk food living in fear?

Hey warp,
Your supposed analogies are obviously false

A more accurate analogy is the government banning driving, banning crossing of streets, banning doctor’s visits and banning eating. Just to “ensure” nothing bad happens. And even worse, millions of fearful suckers (like you apparently) falling for it.

@warp10

Prime example of a tool.Let me ask you when the flu season was really heavy and hard hitting, was there any lock down? Or masks? Hmm.. wonder why not. Testing with PCR test (is a genetic test) is no way to look for a virus even according to the inventor of the PCR test.

Yes, life does carries a risk, is called death - now do you see people live in fear, because what the end will be?

End the lockdown now! this thing is well beyond preposterous.

Are the sheriffs now DeBozo's private army?

Is wearing a seat belt living in fear?

No, is mandated and enforced via fines! We must keep the slaves alive you know since Clinton balanced the budget. With Social Security money.
Fear of fines maybe...

Is looking twice before you cross the street living in fear?
No, is called being careful. After all see happens when someone gets hit by a car or bus and ends up like you.

Is getting an annual physical living in fear?

I don't get one. Do you? Maybe is called providing customers to Big Pharma and the great treatment scam.

Is avoiding junk food living in fear?
No, is called wise. After all you don't need to munch on some baby parts due to someone's right to choice. Or so they say.

To sum it up, you can skip the annual physical if you avoid junk food.
Now how is that called fear?

Calling your Mayor names will not resolve your problem, New Yorker's. If the only thing you know how to do is vote democrat in every election, then expect more of the same. Kinda what Einstein once said.

You full of it. How do you know he was voted in? By whom? He pretty much pissed of everybody!
Fraud. that's how he got in! So don't blame the good people of NYC.

I lived in NYC for over 40 years, and with the exception of NYC's greatest Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, the morons voted for Democrats. Does that tell you something. Now the whole country knows whose full of shit, and it's not me. Just keep calling him names, but not his real name "Warren Wilhelm" You don't get elected if the citizens are really pissed off! They love it.
