Former longtime City Councilman and District Leader Archie Spigner died Thursday, Oct. 29. He was 92 years old.
The Guy R. Brewer United Democratic Club announced the news of Spigner’s death on its Facebook page on Friday. Oct. 30.
“It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our great leader former City Councilman and District Leader “The Dean” Archie Spigner,” the Facebook post reads. “We will keep everyone updated on memorial services.”
As news of his passing became public, tributes dedicated to Spigner were shared on social media.
The Queens County Democratic Party said the borough lost “an absolute giant.”

Queens Congressman Gregory Meeks, said on Twitter that southeast Queens “lost a godfather of politics.”
“New York City lost a great leader last night, and our nation lost a great man,” Meeks wrote. “Archie Spigner will be missed dearly. May god rest his soul.”

A person's life is complicated. Many women were shut up by the black cultures about former Councilman Archie Spigner's Me Too cases. Maybe shut up by what they have to lose if they come forward. Maybe shut up by what their cultures made them feel:they deserved what happened to them. The Me Too cases are bigger than Archie Spigner and the women involved. So sad for Queens and humanity !

A GIANT, yeah, giant corrupt SE Queens pol who did SHIT for the community (along with Flake, Comrie, Smith, Wills, Huntley, Meeks, etc) and the reason the community still looks like shit. FACE IT, if these pols were so damn good and such giants, why does the community still look like shit and getting worse every year.
Between corrupt and immoral Flake getting a street named after him and this clown getting heaps of praise, the bar for quality leaders in the area is SO FUCKING LOW. I guess if you stand upright and breathe, you are a legend.
