School cafeterias are kinda dirty

From PIX11:

Nearly half of New York City public school cafeterias have been slapped with serious health code violations, including rodents and insects, according to a new report.

More than 1,100 critical violations were found at nearly 700 cafeteria in 2017, NYCity News Service — a CUNY Graduate School of Journalism student news service — reported. About 20 percent of those citations were considered critical, which means they're more likely to contribute to food-borne illnesses.

There were mice, rats, roaches and flies.

And they are just figuring this out now?

And the worst violations are in the poorest neighborhoods. Geez, no surprise there!!

The problem is that it's not just in poor neighborhoods, it's spread out everywhere. I know that school in Ozone Park, it's state of the art and huge, and the neighborhood is mostly middle class.

This is just another of a million cases of de Faustio's incompetence at maintaining progressive policies like free lunch at schools and his bargain based and lousy vetting of contractors to provide these services and the shiftless lazy city workers hired to regulate them.

Third world students, third world cafeterias. Simple as that.

"There were mice, rats, roaches and flies." And that was what was on the menu!

So why is not the cafeteria's closed as a restaurant would be until they cleanup their act and pass another inspection??

Look who they have working at the cafeterias and that will explain everything. They still get paid despite creating dirty filthy conditions. They simply do not care and no one supervises them.

Go to any public school at any time and you will find bags and bags of tossed out food. Ever wonder who's cooking the books for school cafeterias? That's the biggest crime.

The children from 90 different countries are offended by the American food choices that they are forced to eat.

Hard to tell the difference between a toilet and a cafeteria in some schools.

Between the politicians dictating what the kids can and cant have and everybody being offended by the American food its become near impossible to run a kitchen.
All these government mandated measurements, mandates and special requirements for DACA kids is just crazy.
Cant have peanut bars, Italian ice, snow cones, brownies, Pizza, Coke---a student cant even carry in his own peanut butter & jelly sandwich---just crazy !!!

I would like to know more about this. Is there a list online anywhere?

I hate to say but growing up in the 1970s and going to public school in Queens I think we all saw a lot of flies and roaches in the cafeteria the food was much worse than to me those trays look like almost gourmet food-fresh steamed vegetables...all we ever got was canned...okay don't mean to sound like I don't care but I think there are bigger problems in socety such as school violence that should be addressed.
