Illegal park parties are back

"Can anything be done about the horrible loud music that we hear every weekend. It is so loud and it goes on into the wee hours of the morning. It coming from Willets Point and Flushing Meadows. Please put a cop there and maybe they won't stay there." - anonymous

I'm just really curious as to where this person lives that they could hear that. I recognize that lot its on 37th ave in Willets Point. There are no houses around.

The noise can be heard miles away.

After years of this activity , NYPD still can't figure out how to stop it?

Anonymous said...

That is crazy crapper, can't wait to pay for everyone's hearing loss in a few years!

This is the most fucking ridiculous bullshit and shows how fucked up this city is and in particular Queens that they cannot fix this shit immediately. No other community would tolerate this. As usual a complete utter lack of any type of proper leadership in this hell hole.

PS: To the first anonymous.

SOUND TRAVELS. You should have learned that in science class back in grade school. Must have went to a NYC public school.

Eye kan here it two I live Howard Beech.

It seems None of the city agencies have been enforcing their own laws. I Wonder why?

Anonymous said...

Maybe developing the area would drive this shit out.
Hmmmm....maybe Claire Shulman hired these loud parties to push for developing Willets Point.
Hmmmm....if there's any truth to mafia in WP....why don't they suff a few offenders into 50 gallon gas drums? LOL!
What the crooked lazy NYPD can't handle maybe big Tony can. LMAO!

If the hipshits can have raves on the roof or on a deck in a landmarked building, then everybody else can have ghetto blasting sound systems and do ninja bike and ATV wheelies and donuts in the park.

It's a win-win. Since both consumer demographics are big time frivolous spenders. Consumers have more rights than residents in looking glass Brooklyn and the World's Borough.

I can hear it all the way east on 165th Street.
Bass notes carry like the beat of a drum.
And how many miles away is that?
NYPD needs to stake out the area.

Anonymous said...

I believe that the deep bass reverberations carry through the sewer system. Can that be so?

Anonymous said...

Maybe MS 13 is running these parties and the pussy police are afraid of them.

Anonymous said...

The area is Latino heaven. Loud music and cervezas are the key entertainment. It will be a long hot noisy summer.
Si, bueno! Arriba! Arriba! Arriba! Mucho music!

Anonymous said...

Maybe that useless prick Ron Kim could make himself useful and lobby for more police patrols.

Jowell y Randy said...

Them people in the park play my music. Please don't stop them people.

Anonymous said...

Can hear it well on 155th Street and 33rd Ave especially when the Jets from LGA stop roaring at midnight !

This has been going on far too long. The noise impacts tens of thousands of people in north Queens. It's outrageous that local officials and law enforcement haven't taken action to stop this. It's all about the bass!!!

WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET MORE COPS STATIONED ON 37TH AVE FROM JUNCTION TO 101ST TO NO AVAIL. LETTERS AND EMAILS TO CITY COUNCILWOMAN JULISSA FERREIRAS OFFICE HAVE NOT BEEN READ NOR ADDRESSED. THIS IS WHY ALL THIS SHIT IS HAPPENING. WE DON'T HAVE PEOPLE REPRESENTING US WHO ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR JOBS !!

Anonymous said...

I wonder what Community Board #7 has been doing about the noise complaints?

To the first Anonymous, I live in College Point and this has been going on for years, every weekend and holiday and I hear it in my house with my doors and windows shut, the music is very loud, there is banging & thumping and there is also a man speaking on a microphone, it's really disturbing the Quality of Life. The sound travels far in every direction. I live in the 109th Precinct & this area is in the 110 Precinct & they are well aware of the problem and the area in the Willets Point junkyards & in the Worlds Fair Marina where these people congregate.
Last year the Dep Inspector from the 109th precinct even met with the 110 Pct. trying to resolve this problem. The 110 Pct is not doing the right thing. They go there, they give summonses, confiscate cars, the music stops, the Police leave & the music starts again, the weekend before last it was going on till 5:30 in the morning, the Police did respond around 2:30 am & left.
There needs to be better enforcement !

Community Bd 7 contacts the appropriate agencies, but it is up to those agencies, including the NYPD for enforcement.

Just put your earplugs in serf! Who are you to bother the political ruling class with this BS. Now shut up and pay your taxes.

I hate these people - they are so friggin' selfish. You hear that bass from MILES away. We should go meet up with them and BLAST Led Zeppelin or Rage Against the Machine to fk them up. Selfish pigs.

JQ LLC said...

Led Zepp and Rage, while great, is a bit tame to combat their trunk arena level soundsystems. (you know people, a jvc style boombox or the current sony models is quite sufficient, the acoustics are good enough that you can blast it to 10 and everyone in the lot can enjoy it, without disturbing the nearby areas or even across the cross island expressway in whitestone)

I suggest Napalm Death, Ministry, Slayer, the cromags and Lou Reed's metal machine music. And maybe Lawrence Welk, Perry Como and the Osmonds to really cramp their style.

Hell, even the osmonds can get heavy...

Join our group on Facebook called "Noise Problem in NYC". A lot of us are fed up in that group as well and we have actively contacted both the mayor and the commissioners office and we are seeing results in our respective neighborhoods . The more of us that can do this, the sooner we can come to a permanent resolution.

110 should stop running illegal radar stops (yes I beat one of these bogus tickets when it turned out they did not have radar in their car and they made up a speeding charge) and focus on enforcing the FUCKING laws.
The noise is crazy especially on the weekends.
110 can hear it, 109 can hear it so do something about it.

Again not enugh copc.too many rules put in place by the Federal Monitor. Deblahsio and the city council have neutered the police. Get used to it......

Anonymous said...

If the cops go in there, there will be a riot .better to keep them contained.

FYI...there was a time...1900s....that the gentile people of Flushing complained about the loud band organs blasting out music from those German College Point beer gardens, casinos, etc. they were considered alcohol guzzling working class refugees. My, how history often repeats itself. Oom pah.....Oom pah...bang bang bang!

Willets Point partygoers said...

This is the type of music we're playing every weekend at Willets Point. Check what its all about.

To Willets Point partygoer, you must be kidding telling people to go listen to something on YouTube when we've been hearing it in person every weekend for the past 4 years....give me a break.
Typical Spanish music, you people have some nerve disturbing so many people's lives, why don't you just go and gather in somebody's house. You must be high and probably stay high all week, after partying for so many hours every weekend, all of you are probably deaf also !

Anonymous said...

To Jowell & Randy, you sound very intelligent...NOT !!!... that says it all to the type of people that gather there and party every weekend till all hours of the morning...a bunch of low lifes.

Anonymous said...

Willets Point partygoer, What a joke !!! We all already know the type of music you play, we don't need youtube...it sucks !

Anonymous said...

The police should put a fence around them all in that area, lock them up for good and throw away the key, then they could have fun partying all week !

JQ LLC said...

The music is awful, simplistic, and plain retarded. the video is gross and sexist and the fun they are having looks forced.

Great job trying to convert people to your backward culture. And keep spending money on bullshit. Where the hell are you going to put all those speakers from your ride when you turn 40?

Anonymous said...

We could hear it last week at Utopia Parkway and Crocheron Ave. The bass was awful.

Anonymous said...

they'll all be deaf by the time they're 40.

Jowell y Randy said...

These parties are da BOMB! We even making music videos at these type of parties

Jowell & Randy, when everyone is drunk and high on drugs anything you hear will sound like the BOMB !
Hopefully when you all get arrested you'll think the sound of handcuffs closing on your wrists is...as you say...da BOMB ! You sound like a bunch of idiots...get a life, sleep at night and live like normal people do !

Anonymous said...

We don't need to look on youtube to know that your music sounds like crap, after partying like that all night, what are you doing all day sleeping it off like a bunch of lowlifes ?

Pat Gerrity said...

Really? You post something about how we should have learned, in science class, about how sound travels and then you follow that up with "must have went to NYC public school". You must not have GONE to your basic English class.

Jowell Y Randy posts are a lampoon.
