This accident occurred on May 5, at 10:30 a.m on 149th Street and 24 Road in Whitestone. Apparently the SUV struck then slid up the bus stop pole before settling itself down on top of the iron fence.
This is from the Queens Gazette? I thought murder and mayhem photos/stories were under the purview of the Times Newsweekly. Maureen Walthers, how did you let this one escape?
Both Arizona and the Land of Enchantment work for me. They are two of the four corner states. Rent an SUV to drive where they actually belong and you won't find yourself driving vertically up a telephone pole either.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

Does this driver qualify for skymiles? The car certainly doesn't qualify as ground transportation.
Oy women drivers! Am I right guys! *nudge* *nudge*
DWO
What's with "luxury" SUV drivers? It's like they think ownership of the road (and sidewalk and iron fences) comes with their $400 a month lease.
*wonderment*
I'm scratching my head on the physics for this.

I'd like to lease in your world, Frank. $400?
By the way, after repair that will be your next rental. Something to think about.
I may want to buy one of the SUV-proof bus poles.
It's 400 a month if you put down 9k.....
Plan your next vacation in beautiful New Mexico.
