Welcome to the tweeders' club, Mike!

From the Times Ledger:

DenDekker, a former city Sanitation Department worker and actor, was sworn in Saturday afternoon in East Elmhurst by U.S. Rep. Joseph Crowley (D−Jackson Heights) before a crowd of several hundred people. He said western Queens elected officials had been supportive of his taking over Lafayette’s seat.

“I told [state Assemblywoman] Margaret Markey [D−Maspeth] that ‘I’m a garbageman from Queens,’ ” he said. “But she said, ‘This is a house of the people and you need to be here to represent your community.’”

Yes, a "house of the people" where the people don't get to choose who gets invited into the house...

Markey should heed her own advice. Rep. Crowley is long lost to the machine - he is the political machine.

‘I’m a garbageman from Queens,’

Oh boy! The jokes to be made from this statement are simply endless!

What is the humor Wade, this is Queens. This is real.

A former school custodian heads C.H.O.K.E. and he has gotten $100,000 of grants and is a recognized 'expert' (I guess) on green issues.

He is treated seriously by the press.

Well, not real, but Alice in Wonderland but still Queens.

DenDekker is totally incompetent to hold public office. Oh wait I forgot this is Queens, he fits right in.

Crowley is taking care of all his
friends. Dickbenders wife works for Crowley. Dickbender never did anything for the community he now
represents. Dickbender should have been thrown out with the rest of the Garbage. Dickbenders daughter works for Helen Sears. Hey Joe, could you sing " ITs a family affair?" Pure Trash!
