A crap above in Manhattan, part 3

This small, probably- once- dignified- looking building between 2 landmark worthy structures at East 14th Street and 2nd Avenue was stuccoed over and topped off with a boxy, windowless, clashing vertical addition, which I think houses an A/C system. My cell phone rang at just the moment I snapped this photo and I thought it might be Flushing calling.

They should have called in the Rock church workers to blend the new into the old facades @ 12 cents a foot.
