In NYC, what we've got instead of properly planned growth (which is begnine) is voracious and unbridled overdevelopment (which is malignant)! A project like the Atlantic Yards that drives people from their homes and eats away at their neighborhood, ultimately killing it, is indeed a form of urban Cancer. It seems that only Bruce "the rat" Ratner and our Imperial Mayor can retain sole rights to control the destiny of the residents of the area, who are then told politely to go to hell! Oh, and thank you ACORN for the wonderful job you did!

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. Oh my! Oh my! Oh my!
I think some preservationists in Queens and Brooklyn just crossed paths on Queens Crap.
You saw it here first! Preservation will never be the same!
