Resorts World sounds like a pleasant working environment

From the Daily News:

Women working at Resorts World Casino endure harassment and physical assaults from badly behaving bettors, grabby gamblers and violent male co-workers — and it’s all because of their employer’s let-it-ride attitude, court records charge.

Bartender Tuwanna (Trish) Anderson said the violence and harassment is systemic at the popular Queens racino — and she has the injuries to prove it.

She filed a lawsuit against co-worker Toman Davis and the casino’s owner, Genting Group, saying Davis choked her while on the job on July 4. The chilling assault was captured on surveillance video — and even reviewed by security directors — but no one came to the rescue, her lawsuit says.

Other women on the staff had previously complained about bartender Davis’ violence and unsafe conditions for female servers in general, but nothing changed, the lawsuit says.

Third world neighborhood, third world casino

To quote Jim Nabors-surprise! surprise! surprise!

That place has devolved into the den of iniquity it was expected to be and has made the environs around there worse, notably the appearance of pawn shops

Check out the people boarding the train at the Aqueduct station, it's the most depressing sight you'll ever see.

On the topic at hand, it's not at all a shock that lurid behavior is tolerated and blown off by the bouncers. There is apparently some kind of thug frat culture going on there that the management wants to encourage to attract the big spending dregs of society to the casino.

Approving this dump was a huge mistake.

Its in Queens, you pay off the politicians and the third world they brought in ignores stuff like that.

I'm sure she has no problem with the double tips- the gratuity added onto every drink plus the tips she gets because not many people realize a tip is already paid for.

F this place.

And every Queens pol who thought this was a good idea.

Is anyone really surprised by this?

Go to or work at the opera if you want genteel behavior. This is a low class venue in a crap hole nabe.

You'll meet all the dregs of society there.

That's what happens when a major company promises excellent paying jobs to a community but only says so to get the land or contract. They then outsource all the services from catering, to maintenance and security to the lowest bidder who in turn will pay their employees pennies and treat them like scum. if this casino was built in the heart of Manhattan this type of abuse would not be so rampant. More so because they probably would hire less minorities and when white folks speak up and stand up against abuse those in power tend to give a damn.

Third world behavior. They treat women like crap in those countries.

And yet people here make misogynist comments about our women politicians all the time. It all needs to stop.

Perhaps when female politicians stop running on the "I have tits, vote for me" platform (see Liz Crowley's embarrassing 21 in 21 initiative which promotes unqualified female candidates), misogynistic comments will stop.

Did she make a police report and was an arrest made?

To the Anonymous who said, 'You'll meet all the dregs of society there.'

The dregs of society are comprised of the foreign, casino management, and the dregs of society in City Hall, the Executive Chamber in Albany, and the greatest, greasiest scourge of them all, Jerkoff Addabbo, Jr. (who said on the record in 2011, that the casino will revive the neighborhood and promote new business opportunity - i.e., pawn shops).

Gambling is regressive and cannibalistic. Regressive, because it eats away at savings layer after layer for the Racino's Third World peasants to spend five grand just to win $500! Then, when they are out of luck (and money), there is always the voracious ATM machines so generously supplied by these Genting 'Monetary Locusts,' all of which brazenly tack on usurious interest rates on top of thousands of already lost money that will never be replaced. Then, the cannibalism part of the equation comes into play, where the broke-and-desperate (mostly minorities), begin to lie, cheat and steal in order to yield their money problems 'fix,' which has never in the history of all gambling mills ended well.

Meanwhile, Caligula II, I mean Governor 'Gargoyle Andy' Cuomo (of the dynastic, eponymous crime family that openly practices their graft up in the haunted ski lodge, more commonly known as The Capitol Building in Albany), has been wholly aware of the gambling scourge (along with his asshole pal, Addabbo, who gives MENDACITY a bad name).

The only way to rid and exterminate a lethal scourge against the American middle class is to eliminate the total corruption, graft and never ending greed at its breeding point: Albany and City Hall. Worse, whenever a kleptocratic government like New York State willfully chooses to install yet another gambling mill in their ever languishing upstate regions, there will never be a successful model for income revenue and job growth, when that alleged growth and development rests on the backs of the poorest of beggars patronizing the casino racket itself!

And, now Albany's 'King of Crime' has just sanctioned the opening of another depressing (and income sparse) casino in the Catskills region, as if the monstrous fail, beggary, obscurity and quiet desperation of the other failed, 'gangsta' owned criminal enterprises wasn't proof enough how society is now crumbling faster than the ancient empires and rackets that so betray it with impunity.

I hope that Addabbo, de BLASS-hole and Cuomo die of cancer (along with their entirely infected families of naked greed), before they can collect their filched pensions. They all devalue honesty itself (as their ignored constituencies continue to pay a soul-crushing price for their arrogance and out of control greed)!

And, the public be damned (again and STILL)!

Even Third World countries don't look THIS blighted. Since 2011, I've watched South Ozone Park (and Ozone Park), devolve NOT to 'Third World' status, but to 'Fourth World' depravity and mediocrity!

You can thank two 'WEASEL FUCKWADS' like Jerkface Addabbo, Jr. (and his fat, thick greedy stumps for fingers), and as well as the crime family boss of Albany himself: Andy Cuomo, whose obliterating middle class anarchy has murdered New York State, exactly like another subhuman scourge murdered New York City in 2001 (Michael Jewberg).

Now, New York State itself operates like a 24-hour, foreign gambling mill, and whose filthy and greedy henchmen just continue to perpetrate the corruption, graft and greed as the quintessential, class A narcissists that are destroying life for ALL living things with their arrogance, deceit, manipulation, greed, cowardice and openly practicing criminal enterprise for which NO jurisdiction is prosecuting.

Remember the feckless Preet Bharara? He left New York State with his prosecuting blinders FIRMLY implanted on to his 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil' skull, as the corruption, graft and greed only continues to breed and flourish like a swarm of monetary locusts!

Corporate fascism is hard at work (whilst the perpetrators are hardly working)!

The black perpetrator was allowed to get away with his behavior because the security guards are all black.

They did not want to take down a brother.

It was a nice idea. This should be a case study on why the lack of diversity in a work place is not healthy. It's all blacks and immigrants.

I can bet on who will get off the A train at the fake casino. The above and lot of Chinese, Taiwanese who go to gamble.

To the misinformed, uninformed Anonymous who said: 'You might have noticed that most commentators here hate everyone.'

You couldn't be more wrong with such a willfully ignorant statement! What 'most commentators' hate, despise and abhor is a system of hyper-corruption, graft and greed that is so completely entrenched and establishment-rigged, that it devalues honesty for ALL living things!

Don't spin this thread into a massive forum for misanthropy, Anonymous: The commentators for whom I have taken the time to read what they have written were very specific about what they hate and dislike, and it's certainly not because they are hateful for the sake of all hating itself. Their specific cases of hate is buttressed by how fed up and disgusted they are over the disparity of CLASS WARFARE, CLASSISM, societal collapse and this corrupt government's rejection of We, the People's rights, freedom, liberty - and democracy itself!

So women ask for sexual harassment? That's why there's sexual harassment? Women deserve it?

Maybe adults should conduct themselves like adults. "They did it so I'm going to do it back". Grow up.

If you don't like women being harassed on the job them don't be part of the problem.

I enjoy casinos. I go to Vegas and AC fairly often, and have been to Mohegan/Foxwoods, several PA casinos, Yonkers, others out west. This Resorts World casino distinguishes itself as by far the worst anywhere in customer service, ambiance, attitude, staff helpfulness and any other measure by which you rate casinos.
I almost want to congratulate them on how they have separated themselves from all other casinos by such a wide margin.

To John, who laughably believes that Preet Bharara was one of the most hard line prosecutors. I laughed so hard that I nearly dropped my breakfast tea!

For your information, Bharara was, and always HAD been, Schmuck Schumer's bitch. That's why he didn't prosecute any of the criminals in Puerto Rico, all of whom nearly bankrupted the island to the tune of $80 billion, when a second year law student knows enough to impose RICO laws, over which your man Preet chose to look the other way (as SO ORDERED by his government bought henchman, the walking, cradle-to-grave corpse Schumer), and he retreated into politically bought silence instead of public service and public goodness. Just one out of many examples regarding why Preet was nothing more than a paper tiger, reactionary of epic government fail.

The reason why Trump fired Mr. Bharara is because he not only ignored major political corruption, but he was also controlled by shithead Chuck Schumer. That's why not a single criminal in Albany is behind bars, to date (not Sheldon Silver, not Dean Skelos, not Adam Skelos), of whom Preet was supposed to clean house, underscored by his frequent messages to 'stay tuned.'

Yeah, we're all in tune alright! And, Preet can spin that 'stay tuned' bullshit to the unemployment office where he rightfully belongs. In fact, New York State is even more entrenched with rotting levels of corruption than ever before (as petty criminals continue to be hanged, and the great criminals continue to be elected to public office)!

In the end, you're entitled to your own opinions, John, but NOT your own facts! Do the research and educate yourself before you rely upon conjecture, hearsay, opinion, perception, speculation, emotion and feelings, versus TRUTH, FACT, EVIDENCE and PROOF (the only words and actions that matter in the law)!

the whole gambling thing is a govt money grab in a democrat city & state
government is providing a way to turn dirty money into clean and get taxes on it
illegal money is fine as long as they get their cut

it must be Trumps fault!

First of all. these places are well known for breeding crime and unwanted such behaviors to an area.prostitution is common also. It does NOT bring any benefit to local community at all, it often destroys more than it brings by far. The GOOD jobs that pay the most there are given to outsiders from the entity who runs the place. Locals get the spoils, labor type jobs as leftovers. And nothing will ever change there at all.

Anonymous said...

To the frightful comments of second to last Anonymous: They deserve tips, you sociopath, but that doesn't give anyone the right to choke, harass, abuse and take control of any and all terrified employees (where the terror is in equal parts from management, as well as the scourge of Third World patrons, both of whom openly terrify at will), at this mangy house of sewer rats. What rational life form would be seen at this 'shithole,' to paraphrase President Donald Trump?

So, according to you, a tip on a lousy drink gives you license to physically assault someone? You sound so sane and stable!

Thanks to newspaper articles about the violence, I would not feel safe going to this place, the fake Casino.

I have been to it, yes. Please go and count how many White people are working there. The lack of true diversity is the main reason it is a dump.

Alas, the whole Racino is a blighted, toxic raw sewage plant (foisted onto We, the People by the politically failed corruption, graft and greed of the LEGALLY organized government sanctioned crime family Addabbo/Cuomo, in conjunction with the foreign, Third World 'NAKED GREED' of Genting's OWN global empire-racket family of crime), that could surpass the purpose and function of the ACTUAL Newtown Creek Waste Treatment plant that is located in Greenpoint!

And, if that ugly red (as 'In Red Debt') logo sign on Rockaway Boulevard (likewise the Conduit), doesn't frighten off any of the blinded, 'get rich quick' minded patrons (most if not all of whom can't afford to lose, which means they can't afford to gamble in the first place), then I don't know whatever it will take for those 'invisible' corporate wage slaves of our increasingly shabby-and-depraved society to get a clue.

Why, the 'RW' logo itself looks like a more ominous version of Edvard Munck's 'Scream,' that was first created in 1893! And, if THAT doesn't haunt anyone's nightmare's in the daytime, then I don't know what will!

I implore you, residents of southeastern Queens: Banish and boycott the Racino Racket for life, and shut this soon to be seven-year, money laundering Ponzi scheme AND den of inequity, already!
