Time to install that security system

From DNA Info:

Burglaries in Forest Hills have gone up significantly this year.

In April, break-ins jumped 90 percent over the same time last year, fueled by a rash of burglaries in which jewelry and cash were taken, police said.

Overall crime in the 112th Precinct, which covers Forest Hills and Rego Park, is down more than 6 percent this year. But there were 120 burglaries between Jan. 1 and Sept. 15, compared to 92 last year during the same time period, a 30.4 percent increase.

In the wake of the break-ins, Capt. Thomas Conforti, the commanding officer of the 112th Precinct, encouraged residents to consider getting security systems and cameras, which act as a deterrent and can provide police with evidence.

And crime will continue to rise. The more the people in the city complain and bash the NYPD the less they are going to do.

And that's the crime that's reported in the 112.

How about allowing NY'ers to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

The city is getting the police department it demanded. Now instead of 44,000 crimefighters, we have a force of about 30,000, an alarming number of them hiding from patrol work in nice little non-enforcement details like youth officers, Auxillary coordinators, community affairs, school safety etc.

Mr Public Safety Vallone did nothing for Public Safety.

You could not even find an explanation on what his committee did on line.

It's a sorry day when the crime in Forest Hills continues to spike with serious crime. When the safety of the neighborhood deteriotes everything else follows.

The accurate figures are 40,000 and 34,000.

Vallone has done all he can for public safety; you're just uninformed. There's only so much three or four people with common sense can do while the City Council has more than 40 hard leftists on it.

Wait until you see the next government we get. You'll be hanging posters of Vallone and Bloomberg on your wall before you know it — and only in part to cover up the bullet holes.
