Small plane lands on Rockaway Beach

From Fox 5:

A single-engine aircraft landed safely in the Rockaway surf near Beach 56 Street.

It happened Monday at 7:05 p.m.

SkyFoxHD showed images of the plane pointed toward the land with the surf covering the wheels of the plane.

The pilot and two passengers on board were not hurt. NYPD Aviation and Harbor Units responded to the scene. The cause of the mishap is under investigation.

Police said the plane took off from Farmingdale, N.Y. on Long Island and was headed west. The destination was not immediately known.

Shame not many can afford or even know how to take care of all these aging airplanes.
Hands on Technical "know how" and craftsmanship is being totally lost.
Just wait till one of those crap A-320 Airbuses come down on Queens. The only way to inspect those composite pieces of junk are X-Ray's at 20X the cost. You know no airline is gonna pay to do this properly.

I feel like being in a cemetery passing those old hangers and Grumman F-16 mounted like a long dead stuffed Moose above 25A in Calverton.
The last decent product to come off Long Island from the same hands that landed us on the moon.

The most dangerous part of that landing is the neighborhood they landed in

Haa Haa thats right.
The battery, seats, fuel and radios will all be gone by dawn.
That happened to a police van stored behind the station house

Luckily the Wildmeda, FloCC, gang and all those super hardened criminals from the Edgemere Projects didn't rob and pillage everything the pilot and his/her passengers had.

This so called Pilot is a total ass. He knew exactly what he was doing but he had his head so far up hi a.. he couldnt see through his belly button. The recording of the ATC communications on liveatc.net is almost funny but considering how much danger he put his passengers in let alone someone on the beach.. Total buffoon.
