Bayside street tree likely to kill someone

From Fox 5:

Falling tree limbs have hurt or killed a number of people in New York in recent years. That is why a tree near a school in Queens has prompted concerns.

A large broken limb in city-owned tree is hanging precariously over the sidewalk in Bayside.

The New York City Parks Department has known about the situation since June and has done nothing to fix it. So Fox 5's Arnold Diaz looked into the matter.

A Parks Department spokesperson said the tree with the hanging branch will be pruned next year as part of the regular pruning cycle.

Floral Park has tree issues, too.

Drove past there yesterday. The tree is gone.
