Apparently, we are not only selling off ambulances, but we are selling them to out-of-state drivers who park them here. This was at Catalpa and Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood. Might I suggest a paint job?
Could be a NY'er playing the regi/insurance scam...(and not necessarily from the area)...register it to a second home or relative...or he lives in Pa. and leaves it here as a portable storage shed/locker room/office...doesn't use it as a work vehicle per se...cheaper than renting appropriate space...when the vehicle dies he'll leave it in place and store garbage or waste in it...sick thing is, when he eventually paints it, it will kinda blend in and folks will stop noticing it....
I don't think registering a vehicle to an out-of-state relative is illegal. My car has PA plates and is registered to my handicapped grandma who hasn't driven a car for over 10 years. I get to use handicapped parking, isn't that nice?

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
most probably owned by a New Yorker with relatives in Penn. or wherever.
a work vehicle would have to have the name of the company visible on the side doors.
someone in the nab should call the police if it's just sitting there 24/7.
If it's parked legally and moved regularly, there's not much that can be done about it.
Somebody get the amber lamps
they couldn't even afford white spray paint???? Jesus.
I'm sure its being used as an unregistered work truck. Probably by an unlicensed electrician/plumber/GC.
Bought it cheap at auction, doesn't pay fees, doesn't pay commercial taxes, etc. Wonderful.
The City has been auctioning off its salvaged vehicles once a week at the Navy Yard for decades.
Salvaged ambulances make wonderful curb side storage. Over the years, I have seen quite a few of them in the Ridgewood-Maspeth area.
These vehicles are on their last legs and run into the ground...not much driving mileage left on them.
That's fine, but you'd think there'd be a regulation against graffiti on a vehicle and why does it have out of state plates?

That would be insurance fraud.
