Two leaders of the Local Christian Assembly Church in Queens who fleeced their flock out of more than $9.3 million in an investment scam pleaded guilty yesterday in Brooklyn federal court.
Robert Riddle, 60, a leader of the Forest Hills church who encouraged elderly parishioners to mortgage their homes to invest in the bogus Jadis Capital investment fund, admitted he knew the money was going toward clothing, trips and expensive cars.
Timothy Smith, 36, a vice president of the fund, also pleaded guilty. They face five years in prison.

Only 5 years for stealing almost 10 million dollars - Thats $55,000 per day for sitting in prison. That would sound like a good deal to alot of people - The article doesnt say anything about restitution.

FYI Stinky,
As a Forest Hills resident, I can tell you that most (if not all) of the congregants of that so-called "church" do not come from Forest Hills. Most of us think it is an eyesore and that it should be closed. I passed by the "church" this Sunday and it was padlocked.
