Two-Ton Tony's got a pair of brass balls

From the Daily News:

Former Assemblyman Tony Seminerio, who abruptly resigned his seat last month and pleaded guilty to a corruption charge, is soliciting his former colleagues to write a "character letter of reference" on his behalf prior to his Oct. 20 sentencing.

A lawmaker who received the two-page plea for assistance from Seminerio and his attorneys forwarded it to the DP and remarked on the "chutzpah" of the Queens Democrat, whose plea marked the ignominious end of a three-decade-long career in public office.

This is better than the old story about the man who murders his parents and then pleads for mercy on the grounds that he is an orphan.
