Miss Heather snapped this at Court Square in LIC last Sunday. Lovely, isn't it? I don't mind the news racks like some people do, but the newspapers should be forced to maintain their appearance and cleanliness.

Another example of how the public thinks that their mother is there cleaning up after them. Is it too much to ask that they take the damn papers with them or restack any extras that they take back into the rack?
Residents must call 311 to file a complaint with DOT- which oversees newsracks. They will come out and inspect---the owner is then given 60 days to clean it up--or DOT takes it away. It works--- We got numerous neglected racks removed in Forest Hills--- more to go. CALL 311---
Oh, in Forest Hills! Yeah, well....! Isn't that the special place that is governed by "the covenant" and where only residents can park, and there are signs warning you in effect that you are now leaving the US and the constitution ends here? Uh huh. More to go!
Stop complaining and get involved in your community civic groups or start your own. Get off your blogging ass and do something constructive for your community and city! You can make a difference.

--- or how about this tweeder, instead of pissing away my money (taxes) on tweeder programs
or taking care of your reelection contributors,
or a big increase in salaries for the fireballs that came up with bike lanes,
how about using this on sanitation and going after the tweeded to clean up?

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. What is the big deal? All of western Queens looks like this.
Thanks to Tower People and Tweeded.
Catered to transients where no expectations on civic behavour (or much else) is expected.
It's hard to keep up with the sticker graffiti. You clean it, they keep coming back.
I hope the vandals behind the ubiquitous "MARTY DCEVE" label are caught and sent away for a long time.
