Save our hospitals, part 2: EMS

"We have over 455 beds that will be closed. We went to a local hospital to ask them, 'Can you handle 25 of them?' You know what they said to me? 'Turn around and look at the line coming into the emergency room. Do you really think that we can handle 25?'" - Keith Chiu, EMT

"These 2 hospitals have 11 EMS units that handle close to 44,000 calls a year. What's going to happen to 44,000 patients in Queens? Where are they going to go?" - Patrick Nicolosi, EMT

Why do I have a feeling that to the mass media the closing of St. John's is something not as significant as the failure of major development projects such as the 7 extension or Atlantic Yards?

I still dont understand why the are doing this in front of a "freeway" across the street from a mall.
Why not go to the Mayors house, Manhatten where all the news cameras and TV studios are 4-5 blocks away.
Raise some real hell and squeaky wheels, those news people love that stuff.

It sounds like the Mayor may want that hospital dead so he can sell it-make "deals" with North Shore Long Island Jewish.
They been buying & taking over everything

Crappy post this as a thread. Took care of our finanical problems in the boro, by extention, since Queens is now part of the 3rd world, we dont need big hospitals.

Midwives, 'traditional' practices, thats all that is needed.

Once again, as Queens College and Sanjek says, this is tomorrow's America today.

Feels good, doesnt it? Something for your kids to look forward to.

Very good.

Because these events are run by minions of the pols, or politcal wannabes.

Like Willets Pt refusal to put up big ads on billboards on the Grand Central knocking the machine, their 'minders' will never let them get to the real culprits.

Meeting on Tuesday in both institutions. 2:30 pm @ SJQH and 3:30pm @ MIH. Going to the Gov. Patterson's office in Manhattan on Wednesday. Keep the HEAT on. The doors are not locked yet.

These people have to rally kick up some smoke and ass.
A megaphone and a group of people in a dimly lit shadow or under an awning isn’t going to cut it.
Im talking large angry crowds, fists, stronger words and charactors.

You have to embarrass the Mayor and Governor. Polititions their press writers & agents hate bad publicity. Damage control is extra work these lazy bastards dont like to do.
Make them all miserable till they stop this Sanctuary city bullsh*t !

I wouldn’t worry about the cops, they are not happy with these MF_rs either.

Do it now because when the FEMA internment camps are ready you won’t be able to !!
Have no doubt the Federal and local governments WILL use Martial or the Bush derivative in cases of civil and state disobedience.
Obama has made no mention of overturning the Bush emergency derivative to suspend the Constitution if trouble erupts. He will use it !

Obama’s Trillion $$ bailout is not going to work.
What you are seeing here is the beginning of massive collapse of every sanctuary city in the country.
Note the same EXACT thing is happening California, the Tweeds and their never ending jackpot babies are bankrupting the Banks, Government and all the fallout is trickling down on legal taxpaying people!

Exactly why would the sick, the dying and the dead be more important than Citigroup or General Motors?

The sick and the dying, and even the dead, contribute no money to politicians.

On the other hand, if a politician needs a private jet, a private piece of ass, money for his/her lover, or help with the next election outcome, then, there will be the GMs and the Citigroup types.

All these wealthy trailer-trash types NEVER use their own money. They rob customers and taxpayers with equal cheer.

That noise you keep hearing is them laughing at you. The one giggling is Barney Blow-Your-Shorts-off Frank.

you are right. we should take it to the city right in front of the cameras. for some reason the media has backed off. its all politics!!!!

Very true.
The tweeds with no insurence are abundant, young and multiply by the average age of 16 and control the next voting base.
The aging middle class homeowners in Queens ?--well they want em all dead or out !
With most of the fighting NIMBYS and middle class gone the Bloomberg types can control EVERYBODY !
Thats EXACTLY what Bloomberg is setting up !!

The homeowners who stick it out will usually have a nice LEGEL finished basements on the books.
They will eventually be forced to take in some "immigrints" and goverment coupons at gunpoint (just like the hospitals)

Thats coming next if this Mayor and all his "club" isnt thrown out !!

why are there white people in the photograph? Don't they know this hospital, or any NY hospital is for Mexican mothers to give birth in? L

In the future Crappy please be more culturally sensitive. You must know all about the over production of third world children in Queens, NY.

Little brown children dragged along by their mothers who sell icies from an unlicensed cart or who have to carry the colored cotton candy on a pole to sell, how diverse, how vibrant. How wonderful, child labor and sex trafficking. It all supports the illegal immigration lobby, pays for the fiddles and hankies for them.

they are responsible for these hospitals closing.

The ones who are responsible for these hospital closures are the Vice Presidents AH and CM. Incompetent!
