The scary looking utility pool adds to the ambiance don't you think? They are all over the borough. What's up with that? They come by to inspect them occasionally and put their rubber stamp on them. Sometimes they even put a brace on them, band-aid if you will.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

having some extra bricks left over, the builders must've decided to slap some onto the roof, creating faux facades as an added touch of ugliness.
as far as i am concerned this is still flushing. west of 164th is definately flushing and now this building makes it official
what a pile of crap-
no taste and a warehouse for god knows who or what
Brutal, ugly, human warehouse.
The quiet acceptance by this is an inditement of our elected officials and the newspapers in this borough.
I have only two questions.
By doing nothing to stop this, why does our leadership hold us in contempt?
Do they hold us in contempt because we are always so nicey nice and ready to comprommise?
Take a look at some of those factories in LIC
that were built in the 1920s.
They've got better architectural detail
and a sense of proportional balance
than this crap pile has.
Real "klassy" up your assy!
Answer:
Our leaders hold us in contempt
because we've failed
to hold them in the contempt that they deserve!

Who cares what it looks like, as long it’s close to the bus and train.
Yea, since there are so many like that in my neighborhood, I often wondered about those poles.
Isn't there any concern that they will snap? They lean at all sorts of angles.
What's up with them? At what point do they become hazardous.
yep, they do put braces on 'em, and some are really elaborate, probably approaching the cost of a new pole.
